Best Stabilizer Jacks For Wildwood 26' Travel Trailer With 17" From Frame To Ground

Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 04/16/2025

Question:

The frame of our Wildwood 26foot travel trailer is 17inch off level ground. Would there be enough clearance when mounted for these jacks to swing down? Or do we need to go shorter? Thanks!

Hello Tammy, thanks for reaching out. The Ark Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # ARK34FR are 16.6" long when retracted, so it sounds like you would have just enough room to swing them down when on level ground. You will be cutting it close though, so if the ground was not perfectly level you might run into issues.

A better option might be the Stallion Stabilizer Jacks # 288-01892-2. These are 15-1/4" long retracted and they extend to 22-1/4". So these would work regardless if you are parked on level ground or not.

I hope this helps. Leave a reply below with any other questions or comments and I will get back to you.

Hey Tammy, did you decide to go with the Stallion Stabilizer Jacks for your travel trailer? I'm curious to know if they worked out for you, as it could help others make a decision in similar situations.
