Assembly is sturdy however I cannot get the clips on for the front plastic wind guard. They are a bit small for the bar, I may try pliers later but I don’t want to scratch them up.
Nice product
I really like this cargo basket. It’s a good size for my Grand Cherokee and feels like it’s going to last a long time (good quality). The way it mounts to the crossbars is so different from anything I’ve seen before. It was really easy to adjust the positioning of the rack and then lock it down. Also, etrailer shipped my entire order within 24 hours and it was delivered within 2 days. I couldn’t find a lower price anywhere either. I’d recommend them to anyone.

The product is great, all the steps to get it here were very good but when I opened the package there were no instructions the only paper was to sign upfor the warranty, and they were in Spanish
Solid basket! We use it constantly for trips. Just need to pick up an extension because we could use the extra space.
Was simple to put together. Looks great. If you’re planning to keep basket on vehicle for period of time, get the key locks… easy to install.

e trailer seems to be the place to buy these products, good customer service. shipping was slow but it is peak covid season.
the product itself seems nice, but scratches very easily. the box was damaged from shipping and the product had scratches. while putting together on my cement patio, just laying it down scratched it. once i noticed i layed a blanket down for the rest of assembley.

Really nice roof basket fits nicely on my 22 Outback wilderness, I think it will be perfect with the 18” extension.

Very solid Cargo Basket; expensive, like all Yakima products, but should last forever. Took 30 minutes to put together; will probably take another 30 minutes to put on top of our 2021 Subaru Forester (Waiting until tomorrow for cross bars to arrive). When it was delivered I was concerned because the box had two corners completely torn out from shipping, but the pieces inside were in perfect condition, so no harm done.
Love the look of this basket. Installed onto 2018 Subaru Outback. Added the extension, looks nice with the long roof of the Outback! Easy install, and I marked the spots on the rails on basket w/ a sharpee to make re-installs easy for when I remove the basket during car washes. Easier to put on with someone helping, but not impossible to install on the car yourself. No regrets with this thing, love the look!

Really fast fulfillment and delivery! The medium-sized Yakima OffGrid basket looks great on my car and assembled in about 10 minutes, with installation taking about 15 after doing all the measuring and adjustments to the clamps. Great looking and sturdy product. I used leftover vinyl wrap from my trim work on the red connectors to match everything up. Really happy with the final product!
The Yakima OffGrid medium rack arrived yesterday at about 10:30 a.m. It was fully unpacked/assembled/installed by about 11:45. etrailer did a fine job of communicating/pricing/delivering and supporting this good product. I've been using Yakima products (and others) for biking, paddling, fishing etc. for about 45 years. This rack is a serious solution to a variety of uses of a roof rack. I will be able to use it on various vehicles and for a number of applications (sports, chores,travel etc.) It has more flexibility than most racks and I can't imagine a more durable, quality design. My particular needs, being in my "Dotage", are met by the ability to remove the cross bars and fairing for an open platform, or keep them on and custom fit to a spare tire, or bike rack, kayak rack etc. The attaching mechanisms drew my attention. I put this on the car with solo and with caution using a protective mat. It is very manageable and easy to fit. These mechanisms for tightening down on the crossbars bring the added value (and cost) to folks like me that don't want to spend a lot of time and effort installing a rooftop rack. I wanted secure, solid attachment with simplicity. The OffGrid delivers! No pain killers needed after the install! This "Medium" OffGrid is more than adequate for my initial uses. The internal and external dimensions are pretty much ideal for this 2017 Sienna. A full size spare tire will fit just right. A nice fit for a canoe as well. I admit to scouring the internet and considering dozens of products from baskets to platforms and this OffGrid showed a lot of promise. Its versatility and ruggedness competes with the best designs at about half the price of many. My thoughts included the extension bracket, but the medium OffGrid really does meet most of my expectations and needs for various applications. Now, to the matter of noise. There is wind noise. However, for me, it simply blends into the symphony of white noise that comes with highway travel (and the ringing in my ears) :)......Of all the racks, bikes, canoes,kayaks ladders, lumber, etc., etc. that I have carried on car tops, the wind sounds of this carrier are negligible. The fairing is a nice, well thought out feature that works well. So, my five star rating is for both the product and the vendor. Once again "eTrailer" has proven themselves to be one of the best sources of such products nationwide. Their product information efforts are an industry leader and they deserve credit for providing extremely helpful product reviews and explanations. That's what got me to choose them on this purchase. Those of us well into our "Dotage" appreciate learning all we can!

A year later this Roof Basket has held up in the Arizona weather No fading, fairing is holding up no cracks.
