Collin: Hey, everyone. It's Collin here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the carry bag from Montague. Now, Montague designed this bag to be able to carry up to one of their folding bikes up to 26 inches in frame length. Now, the bag is a convenient tool to have. It's going to be able to keep all the dust, the water and everything like that off of your bike for long periods of storage.
You can put it in your garage, in your basement, and then when it's time to bring it back out, it's going to be in good condition. It comes with a direct mount strap. Instead of it being basically sewn into the bag, you actually put it through the included slots, and then it has hook-and-loop fasteners to wrap around the frame of your bike so that when you pick up the bike with the strap, it's not picking up the bag at all. The bottom of the bag isn't really being pushed down by the bike. You're literally picking up the bike with the strap, and the bag's just basically draped around it.Now, if you do have any type of height restriction and you need to get it up and over something, let's say into your vehicle, they do have these handles. There's going to be one on this side, one on the other side.
You'll see that when I pick it up, just holding it like this gets it higher off the ground so you can move it a lot easier. The durable nylon construction is going to be water-resistant. It's going to help keep your bike dry and clean. We have our Paratrooper Express folding bike. We're going to go ahead and store it in here just to show you what it looks like. You're going to have to start by opening it up all the way on both sides.
The easiest way to do it is to go ahead and lay it out like so. Now, the first thing we're going to do is we're actually going to tear off this hook-and-loop strap right here, and this pouch, we're going to slide our front tire in there. We're going to take that off to get it folded up.Once you get it all the way in, go ahead and take that strap and re-secure it. Now, we're going to set our bike in the middle of the bag. You do want to make sure that you have the handlebars turned inside facing the rear wheel and also have the frame of the bike between your two wheels, so it will just make it more compact.
You're going to bring up both sides. Once you get a hold, I find it easy just to grip up there and squeeze them together. Then we're going to bend down on both sides, and you can just zip it up. I'm not going to go all the way, just until we get to the top right there. Same on the other side. Now, from here we're going to grab our strip and feed the hook-and-loop fastener through the included slot right there. Just get it started like that. Do the same for the other side. Now, we're going to take the hook-and-loop fasteners on the bottom side of our strap. We're going to first wrap it around the seat post tube right here. Make sure it's tight. Then we're going to go to the other side and wrap this side around the top of our handlebars right there. Now, from here, go ahead and zip it up all the way. Go a couple tugs on the strap and make sure it's tight. Now, you can throw it over your shoulder, and you're ready to carry it wherever you need to.

However, etrailer were great, as my dlivery was lost/delayed (it may still show up) by USPS, so etrailer shipped me another one via UPS, and will meanwhile attempt to recover the 'lost' one from USPS - so full marks fr customer service (William)!
I debated whether to buy the Montague bike bag from etrailer or directly from Montague. With etrailer I saved money on shipping. I could not be happier with my choice. It was exactly what I expected and arrived sooner than I expected. The video on the etrailer website was really helpful.
Over all, I am impressed with the bicycle but the front fender is extremely difficult to assemble.
Easy to load bike into by myself.
