This edge glide gives you a smooth transition from the ground onto your trailer gate. The glide minimizes friction for snowmobiles but has built-in traction so you can still walk on it safely or load up your favorite off-road toy.
The first movement onto a trailer door is often the most awkward. Without a transition panel, your sleds track can hit the bottom of the door at a sharp angle, spin, or kick sideways. This ramp panel bridges that gap and gives you a smooth, predictable transition from the ground onto the door. It reduces friction so your snowmobile glides up the ramp instead of digging in, making loading feel controlled even when the ground is icy or uneven.
The raised traction pattern gives you stable footing as you guide your snowmobile into the trailer, and it also provides a reliable surface for loading ATVs and UTVs. Riders have even used it for mobility scooters thanks to its grippy surface and gentle transition angle. Because the panel flips up on a hinge pin, you can close your trailer door without removing anything. When you open it again, the panel drops back into position, ready for the next load.
Installation is straightforward using the included hardware. If your trailer door needs a custom fit, each panel includes a molded cut line to help you make clean, straight trims. Hello, everybody. Steven here with etrailer.com. We're taking a look together at our Caliber Edge Glide 2.0 transition plate for enclosed trailers. Now folks, this comes in three two-foot long sections, giving you a total of six feet or 72 inches long, 12 inches wide, and about a quarter inch thick or tall. Now, here's an image of what this looks like. Potentially when it's installed.
It's gonna cover that gap between your enclosed trailer door. That little gap, maybe a couple inches, is normally, I would say maybe a couple more. And it's gonna fold up whenever you fold your door back up. But it's gonna give you a smooth transition from the ground onto the ramps of the trailer. So when it's like this, and then when your door swings up, it's gonna go right to this position.
And then when you fold your trailer down, trailer door down, you can just either back up or drive straight through and out, knocking these back down to cover that transition. Or if you wanna put these at the end of the ramp, you can do that and have a little transition from the ground up onto the ramp. So the possibilities are totally up to you. It's gonna include traction knobs so you can safely walk on them. They've got built in trim lines.
So if you need to trim these, you can make straight cuts, right where they've got the trim lines. While we've got you zoomed in here, I'll show you the bottom side. And again, it just pivots up. And then you've got a couple of these blocks included all the hardware to mount it, packet of screws with the star head, and then a couple of these plastic, I don't know what you call 'em, push pins, to fill in any kinda holes that you don't use and those kind of things. So again, very simple to install and let you close that trailer door without having to disassemble anything.
