Using a Thule Cargo Box with a Roof Mounted Cargo Basket

Question:

Hi, I asked you a question about hitch carriers which we are going to get one... Waiting on your suggestion. We are also thinking about getting a roof mounted cargo basket but have a couple questions. We have an 2006 LR3 with factory luggage rack. We have a Thule cargo box that we can attach to the luggage rack. Would we be able to use that Thule cargo box with a cargo basket? the top of our car is all windows & we would love to be able to have a cargo basket on the top but also would like to utilize the thule cargo box. We are looking at the Rola roof basket. Thanks again for your help.

What you are wanting to do is likely possible with the Yakima # Y07138 OffGrid cargo basket. The OffGrid features crossbars that can be adjusted so that they're 24-34 inches, so if the mounts on the cargo box you're using can be adjusted so that they're within that range, the OffGrid would work great for you.
