Question:

I have a 2023 Subaru Outback Wilderness and looking for recommendation on crossbars and roof cargo rack. I’m ok with OEM but would like aftermarket options as well. Appreciate it

Hey Eric. The Rhino-Rack Vortex StealthBar Roof Rack item # JA7970 is as close to an OEM style as we have and it's going to look great on your 2023 Subaru Outback Wilderness. I really like this style because the crossbars attach directly to the side rails on your Subaru's roof. They don't extend above them or over the sides which helps with aerodynamics and noise. They have a 176 lbs capacity, t-slots built into the top, the crossbars measure 33-1/4" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1-3/16" tall.

The Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket item # Y07138 is going to work really well with your setup. It measures 44" long x 40" wide so it's going to sit perfectly in the middle of your roof. The included fairing and low profile crossbar combination is going to limit drag and excess noise you get with taller setups.

What kind of gear are you planning on putting in the cargo rack?

Hey Eric, how did the Rhino-Rack StealthBar and Yakima OffGrid basket work out on your Outback Wilderness? Did the low-profile setup keep wind noise down like you wanted? Your feedback could help others looking for a clean, quiet roof rack combo.
