Will the Dexter BrakeRite Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Work When Exposed to the Elements?

Does this hydraulic actuator work okay exposed to the elements, specifically on the a frame of a travel trailer. It would be covered but not water tight. It would be subject to spray but not rain. Thanks.

Yes, it does! The Dexter BrakeRite Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes item # DX82KR is built to be weather resistant. It'll stand up to normal conditions. You just don't want to spray it directly or run it through a car wash.

Hey Dennis, I would actually avoid the Dexter actuators and instead go with the Hydrastar part #HBA16 as it's much more reliable and better performing. This is our installers favorite actuator.
