Question:
My trailer uses a brakerite k68-001-02 brake actuator pump, can I replace it with k68-001-00 or your part number DX82KR, I understand that my original pump is a plug and play but i can splice in my own wires. From my research everything is the same except the wiring. Thanks

Hey Gregg, yes you can use the Dexter BrakeRite Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # DX82KR to replace your Replacement Dexter BrakeRite II SD Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator # DX36XR.
The only difference is like you already stated, the wiring. One being plug and play - what you have, and one being hardwired, # DX82KR.
If there is something else I can help you with, please feel free to drop a comment and let me know!

Hey Gregg, how did the swap to the Dexter BrakeRite actuator go on your trailer? Did the wiring change work out the way you expected? Your update could make it easier for the next person doing the same replacement.
