Today we're taking a look at the CE Smith U-Bolt. Now this heavy duty square U-Bolt lets you simply secure a bracket to your boat trailer. It is zinc plated when it comes to the steel construction. It's very sturdy. It's strong and durable and does a great job at resisting rusting corrosion. Mounting hardware is included, so you get the U-Bolt, you get two flat washers, and two lock nuts.
The product's made in the USA.A few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with the inner width. That's measured inside edge to inside edge. That gives us a measurement of three inches. The length is measured from the bottom of this bar right here to the end of the threads. That gives us a measurement of four-and-one-quarter inches.
The bolt size is a half inch by 13. Then the thread length gives a measurement of about one-and-nine-sixteenths to one-and-five-eighths, right in that area. That's gonna do it for today's look at the CE Smith U-Bolt.

These bunk braces far surpass anything I purchased in the past. These braces are 1/4” galvanized steel plate and match perfectly with the U-Bolts also purchased at the same time. I’m very pleased with these products, as with all products I’ve purchased to date.

Not the correct size as indicated on your website.
Only 3 inches wide. Advertised as 3 & 1/8 th inches.

We have measured these in our warehouse with a micrometer they measure out to be 3 and one eighth inches with slight variations.
right size good quality.......use in salt a lot still solid in good shape
Only issue was one item left out of order, I called and they immediately shipped missing item

This is not necessarily a review about the product (it is a large U bolt - nothing crazy here), but more of a review about etrailer. I have ordered from them for about 5 years. I love their customer focus. They are super informed and helpful when it comes to selecting compatible parts. And that is worth a lot. Also, they ask for a review 1 year after a purchase. IMO, that is the right amount of time to see if a product lived up to use/abuse.
They're not just a box of plated U bolts, nylock nuts, and washers. They're a tight package of fine hardware individually packaged in hard plastic to protect the threads and finish. A box of a dozen didn't even rattle. I have no doubt that they will lock my boat trailer bunk board supports in place vey solidly and reliably.

Very robust. Exactly what I needed. Excellent product and service from etrailer.
I have not gotten a chance to install items however out of the package the items all look great! I decided to go with stainless U bolts instead of the Zinc coated ones and ordered them the next day and they were delivered promptly. I had to return the Zinc ones which was so easy with one phone call and a RA# via email. Very impressed how easy it was.
