The CE26061G-2 bracket set is well made and very strong. I am replacing brackets on my boat trailer fender which are damaged. etrailer is a trusted supplier of trailer parts. Thanks you for the great videos where you share product knowledge and how to information. Keep up the great customer service.

These mounting brackets replaced the original fender brackets on my boat trailer... and the fit was as good as the original equipment! No drilling or modification was needed. A perfect fit! Thanks Etrailer!!

I bought these brackets believing they would fit certain fenders to mount on a utility trailer. The holes did not match up but it was an easy fix. They worked out fine. The brackets themselves are extremely strong. I was very pleased with the fenders and the brackets I purchased from etrailer....

Iceboat trailer with new wheels and improved fender brackets as suggested by etrailer. Galvanized steel with predrilled holes are great with CESmith fenders. I suggest you use 1" steel carriage bolts with splined necks instead of square necks so you can fully tighten the bolts after drilling into th fenders. Love etrailer for speed of order processing and delivery!

Not much to say about these, they're metal brackets. Sturdy and work for mounting the universal plastic fenders (F008559) that I also bought from eTrailer. I used these to install the aforementioned fenders onto my Harbor Freight 4'x8' folding trailer. I was able to re-use one of the holes and drilled a second one in the trailer frame.

The brackets fit the fenders perfect I just had to drill another hole in the bracket but no big deal they look great and are holding up great

The hardware is great and fits the fender perfectly. The only hassle I had was engineering the final attachment to my trailer but that is due to it being very unusual (designed for open wheels) and the cargo trailer is second-hand and supposedly built in 1959 so it is very old. Once I geiter all done though, she'll be a one of a kind work of art and definitely an eye catcher for my entertainment production business behind my 1989 "limo-syle" Cadillac Fleetwood brougham sedan. i'll send more pics soon, but here's my before picture....

Quality was good, but the holes didn’t match up with the fenders or bought off this website, which is disappointing since these were the recommended brackets

- CE26061G-2
by:

The fender functions basically as you'd expect from the picture. I used the CE26061G-2 mounting brackets and attached them at the predrilled bolt holes (though I had to drill a hole for the outermost hole in the bracket because they have different hole spacing). The foot steps do NOT feel sturdy if you only mount the fender with two brackets. The outer footsteps bend down substantially and the top step bends outwards. To remedy this, I reinforced the side steps by sandwiching the plastic with a fender washer (using the bolt / nut of the mounting bracket). This provides a fastener point on both sides of each side step and they feel sturdy now. The top step is better too - still bends more than I'd like, but it's fine.

Nice heavy duty fenders. Fit well and I am glad I got the brackets instead of trying to make them. All worked out well. 2 hours to install and look like they came with the trailer.

The brackets were actually used to reinforce the vertical supports of my mother-in-law's single car metal carport. The shelter is located in southeastern coastal Florida and is exposed to significant rain. The horizontal base for the carport was rapidly rusting away and there was no known replacement base track part available. I found etrailer.com while searching for viable strength "L" clamps of sufficient size and with rust resistant attributes. Etrailer.com had the best price. The listing information was easy to understand and the parts arrived quickly. I used stainless steel concrete anchors and stainless steel connecting hardware. The brackets are holding up well and they effectively secured the carport during Hurricane Irma. Thank you etrailer.com!

These brackets are killer! They are like 3/16 of an inch thick and they are galvanized! The radius of the bend matches the fenders perfect. This will make installation a whole lot easier and will look great.

These were the brackets your on-line Q&A people recommended for the fenders I bought from your company in an earlier order. I was disappointed that the holes in the brackets don't align with the mounting holes that are already molded into the fenders. I could have gotten galvanized brackets that needed additional fabrication work from any local aftermarket trailer retailer. Also I ordered two pairs and you shipped four pairs.

These mounts are a great buy, I really like them because the metal is strong, sturdy and thick. They aren't going to rust any time soon. I needed them to mount my boat trailer fender and they worked out just fine.

Brackets don't line up at all with the fender holes that I purchased. I need to make a decision to start drilling them and make them work or return them. Why would you not make brackets that at least fit the actual fender? Trailer holes I understand but you should recommend brackets that fit the fender I am purchasing. Very disappointed.

I was looking for heavy duty fender brackets. These are great, and galvanized to boot. I priced similar brackets at a big hardware store but couldn't beat this price and they weren't galvanized. I will be able to jump on the fenders and these won't move. I am happy.

  • What Length Bolts Should be Used to Mount a Fender to a Trailer
The length of the hardware used to secure a fender using brackets such as # CE26061G-2 is going to depend on how thick the trailer frame is where the brackets and fender will be installed. You could bolt all the way through the frame which would mean the hardware would have to be longer than the frame is wide. But if you didn't want to bolt it through the frame then the threaded part of the hardware would have to be shorter than the frame is wide. I would go with self-tapping hardware...
