Video Transcript for Redline Trailer Suspension 175130 Review

Today, we'll be reviewing part number 175130. This is Redline's Replacement U-bolt, with the included nuts for 1 3/4 inch wide square trailer axles. This is used with U-bolt plates to secure the axle to the leaf springs, which are mounted to the trailer frame. It's going to attach with a U-bolt plate, which is sold separately, and an additional U-bolt with the same dimensions, which is also sold separately. Each side of the U-bolt is threaded. If we take a measurement of the beginning of the threaded portion to the bottom of the bolt, it's going to give us a measurement of 2 1/8 of an inch. This is designed to fit square 1 3/4 inch wide trailer axles and again, it's going to include both nuts. If we take a measurement of the bolt diameter, that's going to give us a measurement of 9/16 of an inch.

The length that we have from the bottom of the crossbar, to the bottom of the U-bolt, is going to measure 5 inches. The width that we have between the two U-bolt posts is going to measure 1 3/4 of an inch. That's going to do it for our review of part number 175130. This is Redline's Replacement U-bolt with the included nuts. .

Quick delivery and excellent customer service (with follow-up emails to ensure that everything was ok with the order). This replaced a broken bolt on a 1956 camper trailer, and it's a very close match to the original.

Worked and fit perfect. Thanks

Working great. Holding my axel on my tear trailer. Very pleased with product and service.

Thanks for asking. I was very pleased with your products and service. I built my trailer suspension with the measurements and technical info from your web sight. Everything bolted right up. I finished the trailer on Friday afternoon, loaded it up Friday night, and pulled it half way across the country on Saturday and Sunday.
You will be the first place I look when I need trailer parts! *

I replaced the suspension on an older horse trailer every thing was worn out.with this kit I was able to relocate the axles .
With the help from etrailer my project went without a hitch everything was exactly what I needed .
thank you very much

They seem to be high quality replacement bolts. They fit perfectly. I have not had the trailer down the road yet but at least its back together.

The trailer hasnt fallen apart in the last year so I guess theyre doing their job. Id buy again if necessary.

I purchased replacement U-bolts, U-bolt plates, slipper springs and associated bolts and a replacement ball hitch for a trailer renovation project. Unfortunately I didn't take "before" pictures to show the poor condition of the trailer. The products and personal services provided by etrailer were simply fantastic. Their videos were very helpful but more important, the personal sevice I received when I called to clarify items needed and how to install them was incomparable. Courteous, patient and professional assistance made my transaction a success.

They got here, they fit!

Your prices are good and your shipping is fast.

Had a hard time finding the u bolts until I found They had exactly what I was looking for. The quality of the u bolts, nuts and the spring plates I purchased from them was great. Much better than all the wrong sized ones that I could locate locally. I would definitely buy from them again. Their communication was good as well.

I got this u-bolt to replace a factory u-bolt while rebuilding my trailer. It fit just fine and came with locking nuts. The threads were a little uneven on length, but it wasn't an issue. (Probably only an 1/8")

I was having a hard time finding a specific size U bolt for a boat trailer. After a couple of disappointments from other vendors, I ordered the needed parts from

The sales staff was extremely helpful and the product arrived in a timely manner. The quality of the product was even better quality than I had anticipated and was perfect for the repair.

I will definitely go to first next time to save myself the aggravation.....great group.

These fit perfect around 1-3/4" leaf springs. You will likely need 4... Two on each side.

the hanger worked perfectly, it didn't have any washers, but I had some, I also painted the axle and all the parts with the new hammer paint, the axle looks like new. the leaf is excellent, everything fit perfectly' it's a flat steel trailer with truck tires and I use it for hauling heavy equipment.

U-Bolt supplied by etrailer was exactly what I needed for my utility trailer which was mounted on a model T Ford pickup chasse.

I actually used the bolts for my safety chains for my gooseneck trailer.

I searched through many sites to get these square bolts and plates for a square 1-3/4" axle. Must be a fairly rare axle. Nobody had them until I got to Thanks!

Size and dimensions were spot on! exactly what I needed to continue work on my trailer! Also shipping was fast! look forward to doing more business through etrailer!

EXACTLY what I needed for my double axle rebuild: 9/16" X 5" long with 18threads/inch plus nuts

Products appear all heavy duty, well machined, and fit properly.
Just what I needed, easy installation. The install videos can be/ were helpful.

I always know my orders from etrailer arrive quickly and accurate. There product is the very best.

These U-bolts are exactly what I was looking for, and they cost less than I could find them anywhere else. The quality is excellent, and they were delivered in a very timely manner. I highly recommend e to anyone that needs the products they offer.

These products were great. I looked all over for this particular size, and this is the only place I could find them. The only downside is that the items did not come with washers or lock washers.

The trailer with your updates operates and looks like a new one...

We were very happy with your friendly and efficient service. We like the wide variety of the products you carry.

Products are as advertised and of excellent quality. Prompt shipping and professional. No fuss, no muss... what more could I ask for!

Still on my boat trailer no issues!

  • Replacement U-Bolt Kit, Leaf Springs, Bolts and Shackles for 68 Aristocrat Lo Liner Trailer
Installing the U-bolts and plate like that would be fine, but I would recommend putting the plate on the leaf springs and running the U-bolts around the axle instead. The good news is you're replacing them so you can make that change when you install them. Once you have your axle measurements we do have some kits you could use. If it is a 2" square axle the # CE23103 or for a 1-1/2" square axle the # CE23102. If it is 1-3/4" you will need the # 175130 along with the # 116308. Since you...

  • Can Unique Leaf Springs be Replaced on a Very Old Trailer
I believe the hubs are for 2,000 or 2,200 pound agricultural axles which is why the springs look so different. These hubs are designed for very low speed applications (5 to 10 miles per hour according to HADCO) so if you plan on going faster than that you will need to look at replacing the axle and hubs. You could use 2 of spring # e66SR. Each spring has a capacity of 1,250 pounds. If a new hanger kit is needed you can use # APS1. When used with spring e66SR the center to center distance...

With square axles, neither of our over/under kits will be a fit to raise the height of the trailer so another option is to use longer hangers for the leaf springs. You will just want to confirm the hangar height. You may be able to use a hanger like part # E4139. This hanger is designed for double-eye springs and is 4-1/4 inches tall. The old hangers will need to be cut off and the replacement hangers welded on by a professional.

  • Will a Leaf Spring Work on a 2 Horse Trailer With a Slant Ramp
You were right on the money thinking that the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e54SR should work with your slant ramp on your 1989 Aluminum Classic Trailer. Through some research, I was able to find out that Redline supplies many of the ramp springs to horse trailer manufacturers. The key point to make sure these are the correct ones is to measure the ones you currently have - I realize they are broken, but, do the best you can. You need to measure from center of one eye to the center of the...

Yes, you can replace a trailer's round axle with a square axle as long as the weight capacity is appropriate. • What Drill Bit Size to Use to Install Redline Replacement Trailer Axle U-Bolt with Nuts # 175130
Since the diameter size of the posts on this u-bolt is 9/16-inch you can ideally use a 9/16-inch or 5/8-inch bit (or even a 1/2-inch bit if you have the room to move the drill around enough to ream the hole to the required size). In either case you will want to ensure that the bits you are using are intended for drilling in the material on your trailer. Please refer to the photo provided which shows the dimensions of this item. Often it is easier to start a smaller-diameter pilot hole,...

  • Availability Of 1-3/4" Wide Square U-bolts
Hey Adam, thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to say that we do not offer a U-bolt that fits your specifications. We currently offer only one 1-3/4" wide square U-bolt, part # 175130. This has a 9/16" diameter and is 5" long. So, a good bit larger than what you are looking for, but this will be our closest option. I suggest that you try a local hardware supply store. That or find a way to make it work with slightly larger U-bolts.
