If you care about how your setup looks when you’re not towing, this base plate keeps things clean. The hidden brackets sit farther back than standard designs, so once the arms are removed, the front end stays uncluttered. The streamlined mounting points tuck behind the grille, protecting them from scrapes while keeping a factory-style appearance.
The direct-connect arms make it easy to get hitched up even when you’re on uneven ground or working alone. Just slide each arm into the bracket, twist to lock, and it clicks into place. To disconnect, pull the built-in release ring, twist back, and remove it. It’s fast and straightforward—no extra hardware or crossbar needed between the vehicle and your tow bar.
The computer-cut steel frame mounts directly to the chassis with no welding required. It spreads towing forces evenly across the structure for dependable strength mile after mile. The black powder coat finish resists corrosion and road wear so the hardware stays solid through long-distance hauling and changing weather conditions.
This kit pairs directly with Roadmaster motor-home-mounted tow bars like the Nighthawk, Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2. Since it eliminates the bulky quick-disconnect crossbar used on older systems, connecting your tow bar becomes a one-step job that reduces setup time and clutter up front. The result is a simple, reliable link between your coach and your towed vehicle.
Note: Roadmaster direct-connect base plates will only work with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into a trailer hitch, such as the Nighthawk, Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2. These base plates will not work with tow bars that require a hitch ball.

I forgot to take pictures when I was installing it,but everything fit perfect.The directions were precise.I have bought other things from etrailer and I highly recommend them.

Very good service. William B was very helpful in getting me what I needed to hook up my GMC Terrain to my motorhome. Now, I have to install it all. Hopefully the installation instructions that William sent are as good as the rest of my ecperience with etrailer.

Works great. Video made I installation easy.
I purchased both wiring and base plate of tow bar of my Equinox and it fit beautiful. I then purchased a trailer hitch and was pleased by all.
I installed baseplates in about 7 hours. Would have been a lot quicker but my tools are about 700 feet across the road in my shop. Easy install just as the directions said. I am completely satisfied. By the way I put them on a 2016 Equinox LTZ.

I have pulled about 6000 miles no problems. I am happy with them.
Product arrived very fast. Packaged well. I installed it as per instructions . Watching a video was a great h Ed lp after reading the instructions. Everything installed as expected. Took about 3 hours. I did drop a nut a nd could not find it so had my buddy run to hardware store to buy a 1/2 " nut and lock washer. I did not have access To a lift, So running the car up on blocks 4"high helped access The underside of the cowling. It was a challenge to get my fat finger holding a nut and washer into 2 tight spots but that is what I expect doing this type of installation.

I have towed my car north to south all summer. No problems at all with thus product.
the base plate fit exactly as described. The installation instructions where precise and described the removal and reinstallation of grill and front without any problem.
I have been very pleased with this base plate.

I have been very happy with the Roadmaster Base Plate. We have towed our 2017 Equinox about 5000 miles and havent had any problems. The base plate is nearly hidden when not in use and very easy to hook up when towing, I will definitely use your service and products again.

the base plate install video was great little bit of work to install but glad I did cant trust some of these people doing work cut corners I feel confident its done right
