Worked fine

by:

Product is just as described; however, that was not my problem. My old unit had shorted out and blew a fuse where the two wires enter the 12 volt plug. This, of course, was not fault of etrailer but appeared to be a deficiency from the factory.

  • Troubleshooting Roadmaster Even Brake Monitor And Transmitter
If the LCD display on your # RM-9410 monitor does not report braking activity or system status, and the LCD display reads 'Even Brake', the monitor is not programmed to the ICX transmitter. The transmitter and the motorhome monitor are programmed as a set. If you are installing a new monitor, you will have to follow the setup procedure which should be in the monitor kit. If you are getting the green LED light and an 'Even Brake' text message it means there is not a clear signal from the...

  • RoadMaster Even Brake Test Pumps Brake Pedal Twice then Fails
I spoke with my contact over at Roadmaster and have some things that you can check. When the Even Brake # RM-9400 pushes on the brake pedal 3 times what it is doing is making sure that it is receiving a brake signal from the cold side of the brake switch. If it does not detect the signal then it does exactly what you have described. The brake signal it is looking for goes through terminal 1 on the Even Brake. What I would first check is that this circuit has 12 volts when the brakes are...

  • Is Break Away Switch Required for Roadmaster Even Brake Supplemental Braking System
To install the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400 you do need to use the break away switch. The break away harness will be connected to the ICX transmitter so the two are going to need to be used in conjunction with one another. If the red light on your Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400 is accompanied by a "braking" or "EvenBrake" LCD text message it may be a communications error.
