I was thinking of getting Roadmaster base plate RM 523184 - 5 because of the ease of installation and I have a Blue Ox tow bar Alpha BX 7365 - will it work ? 2016 Equinox LT 4 cyl.

You can use the Roadmaster Base Plate kit part # RM-523184-5 you referenced with the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar part # BX7420 but you need to use the correct adapter part # BX88185 and you'd be set.
