  • Ball Mount and Hitch Balls for 2018 Ford Escape Titanium
The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the anti-rattle device on the Solid Tow # DTSTBM6600 is right at 2", so it's not going to work if you've got only 1-1/2"; this also does not come with a 1-7/8" hitch ball. For these reasons it's really not going to be a good choice. What I recommend doing is using a regular rise/drop ball mount with a 6" drop like the Draw-Tite # 40346, which fits in a 2" receiver and uses hitch balls with 1" shank diameters. For a 1-7/8" hitch ball...

  • Adjustable Ball Mount For A 2014 Mercedes Benz GLK
To get your ball to the height you are wanting on your 2014 Mercedes Benz GLK I recommend using an adjustable mount. I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 7.5K - Black Item # BWTS10038B. It provides a 1-7/8" ball and a 2" ball for different trailer couplers and fits 2" receivers. It is going to provide a 5-1/2" rise so it is going to provide the adjustability you are looking for. I recommend making sure the trailer doesn't exceed the weight capacity...

  • Hitch And Wiring For A 2024 Honda CR-V Sport Touring To Tow A Small Trailer Across The Country
Hi Jancy! I can definitely help you get your 2024 Honda CR-V Sport Touring set up to tow a trailer. For the hitch, I recommend going with the Curt # C13397. It has more then enough capacity and with how it attaches, it has a much more stock look than some of the other options (see attached picture). For wiring, I have found Tekonsha to be the most reliable and the T-One # 118741 plugs right into a plug in the driver side cargo area under an access panel under the cargo net and cover. Quick...

  • Differences Between EcoHitch 306-X7372 and Curt C64NR Hitch for 2022 Honda Odyssey
The EcoHitch # 306-X7372 and the Curt # C64NR both have identical weight capacities (3500 lbs towing/525 lbs tongue weight), would install in the same manner, would be visually very similar and the receiver tubes would sit at the same spot in relation to the rear bumper for the same amount of ground clearance. Both hitch crossbars would be concealed behind the vehicle bumper, with only the receiver tube and the safety chain loops being visible. Really the only difference is the cost,...

  • Does The Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing Hitch Ball Have More Of A Rise Compared To A Standard Ball
You are correct the Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing 2" Hitch Ball - 1" Diameter Shank - Chrome - 7.5K part # C40047 does have a rise. On a standard hitch ball it sits flush with the ball mount but the RockerBall has the included height of the shock absorber which makes it about 1-1/2" taller than a standard ball. This is important when choosing a ball mount. You want to choose a ball mount that has an additional 2" of drop if your ball mount is in the drop position. For example if your...

I have attached a photo of the EcoHitch Hidden 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver installed on a 2012 Ford Focus Electric. The hitch is designed to fit 2012 through 2014 Ford Focus Electric vehicles. If you're in the market for a bike rack, the Swagman XTC-2 2-Bike Platform Rack # S64670 would pair up nicely with the EcoHitch receiver. If instead, you plan on towing a small trailer, you may consider the following parts to complete your towing package: # 118549 - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector...

  • Installation Difficulty and Hitch Recommendation for 2021 Toyota RAV4
Of the hitches available for the 2021 Toyota RAV4, I'd recommend the US made Curt class III hitch, part # C13416. The installation wouldn't be too difficult for somebody with average mechanical ability, you can take a look at the installation video which should give you a pretty good idea if this is something you'd feel comfortable attempting yourself. The only specialty tools needed would be a torque wrench and a 19mm crow foot adapter (the video will show the adapter, in case you've...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness for 2021 Toyota RAV4
I'd recommend the Curt Class III hitch you'd looked at, part # C13416, as Curt does a slightly better job than etrailer on their powder coat finish in my opinion. The Curt # C13416 and etrailer # e23ZR will have the same ground clearance, while the EcoHitch # EH97FR will offer slightly greater ground clearance, but would require trimming the bumper fascia. As you can see in the linked video, trimming or cutting the fascia in order to install Curt # C13416 hitch isn't necessary. The Curt...

If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll need a trailer wiring harness like # 118574, a ball mount like part # 40346, a # PC3 hitch pin and for a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball, part # 19260...

  • How to Determine Correct Rise/Drop for Ball Mount on 2022 Honda Palisade Limited
The correct rise/drop for a ball mount on your 2022 Honda Palisade Limited depends on the trailer you will be towing. In order to determine this you will need 2 measurements. The first is the hitch height and the second is the coupler height. It is also worth noting that the rise and drop on the ball mount are measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. The hitch height is the distance from the ground to the top of the receiver opening. For the # C13427 that measurement...

The hitch itself has a higher capacity, but you'll be limited by the capacity of the lowest rated component, which is the vehicle in this case.
