Is Weigh Safe Weight Distribution System Difficult to Install

Question:

Dear sir, I have a 2026 Forest River 25ICE and a 2024 Ranger Lariat. The truck pulls the camper wonderfully yet the hitch allows the trailer/truck to sway. I am looking at a Weight Safe Medium Weight hitch to take the place of the current hitch, Blue Ox. I’m currently a fairly disabled fellow meaning that I can’t talk, and other things. All of this being said, how hard is it going to be to install the hitch on the vehicles. Thanks Chuck

Hey Charles, the install of the Weigh Safe WD system part # WS79VR isn't overly difficult but it would come down to being able to lift a decent amount of weight and tightening some bolts. If you have no issues lifting around 50 lbs I'd say you'd be fine.

Worth mentioning is that most sway is from not having enough tongue weight in the trailer or not having it sitting level. If there's a way to move weight forward in your camper that should help a lot.
