Switching between trailers with different coupler heights is easier when the hitch adjusts to fit. This mount offers up to a 6" drop or 5-1/4" rise in 1" increments, helping you keep each trailer level and stable while towing. When it comes to serious towing weight, this mount doesn’t flinch. It’s rated for 10,000 lbs gross towing weight with the 2" ball and 20,000 lbs with the 2-5/16" ball, plus a 2,000-lb tongue weight. The heavy-duty steel shank and channel keep everything rigid under pressure, giving you reliable performance when hauling large trailers or equipment.
You don’t have to swap out mounts every time you hook up a different trailer. The built-in 2" and 2-5/16" balls cover the most common coupler sizes. Just remove the pins, rotate the ball assembly to select the size you need, and lock it back in place. Both hitch balls are zinc coated for corrosion resistance and long-term durability.
Loose hardware on a heavy trailer can make even short hauls noisy. The integrated anti-rattle design tightens up play between components so you feel less slop and hear less clatter when towing. It’s a small detail that makes the whole setup feel smoother and more solid as you drive.

OVER ALL WAS HAPPY WITH WHAT I GOT. THERE IS A COUPLE THINGS THAT I DID NOT LIKE. 1 THE ALLEN HEAD WHEN YOU TIGHTEN IT UP SO THAT SOME CAN'T STEAL IT I WILL MUSHROOM OUT THE END AND IS HART TO GET OUT AND TO RE START IN A NEW HOLE, I DID NOT TIGHTEN IT THAT HARD.2 THE GOLD COLOR OR WHAT EVER IS ALL GO AWAY AND THE BALL IS A STEEL COLOR, NOT SEEN RUST YET? BUT WITH THAT BEING SAID I LIKE THE HITCH AND WORKS WELL.AND WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE IF NEEDED.OVER BETTER THAN GOOD. SAM

STILL WORKS FINE.NO PROBLEM.CHANGED ALLEN HEAD SCREWS TO GRADE 8 AND THEY DONT MUSHROOM AS BAD. STILL A GOOD HITCH. I SEE THEM NOW AND THEN ON OTHER TRUCKS. THANKS.SAM

Fast shipping from etrailer. Very heavy duty unit and perfect for my 2020 Silverado 2500HD. I needed an adjustable drop hitch and this unit works perfectly between different trailers that I tow.

Had the hitch a year and still love it. When not in use I remove the hitch from receiver and store it away for fear of theft.
Very strong and durable hitch. Elevation and dropping is very convenient.
2 big issues with his hitch.
1) does not have an option to buy a 1 7/8 ball.
2) even with a pin lock on the hitch, the balls can still be stolen with its design. If the balls are stolen they can not be easily replaced or cheaply.
Overall, does the job, but once it is stolen, I’ll be buying something better theft protection.

As with any ball mount, it is recommended to remove it from the vehicle when it is not being used. This will protect it against theft and corrosion. Some States actually mandate that a ball mount be removed when not towing. If removing the ball mount is not feasible, a hitch lock # e98881 can be used in place of one of the pins that hold the ball in place.

Hitch hasn’t been stolen. Easy hook up. Pulls 12k with ease. Rust build up is a little disappointing, but still have plenty of life in it. Hitch has saved my bumper from damage several times.
Its simple, and it works.
This is a heavy duty hitch set up. I have only used it a few times but I know what ever I hook up to. it will get the job done. I have towed a full size suv and a large heavy duty trailer with no problems. This hitch should give a life time of service and then some. If your looking for a heavy duty hitch set up. This is the one you want. Only thing negative is it needs to be able to accommodate a1 7/8” ball. Other than that it’s perfect.

Although I have not towed with the Curt 2-ball mount, it fits into my hitch nicely and is very well made. I love that I can adjust the height and have 2 ball size options to choose from. Curt has always been a go to for me.
The hitch arrived quickly and as expected. Normally a hitch that weighs as much as this one (37.5lbs shipped) is hard to order online due to the weight of the item but etrailer really made it easy. The interaction with the folks from etrailer was perfect. They were detailed in their email and made every effort to make this a personal experience.

The product is everything they said it was and more, the adjustment capabilities are great along with the ability to extend the receiver. I plan to pull a 26 foot car trailer at about 12,000 pounds loaded. The service and concern as always was excellent. I highly recommend this product and certainly etrailer.
A very useful hitch. Easy to adjust and solidly built. Only minor problem is my tail gate step on my GMC Sierra 2500 hits it when the hitch is installed. Great product.

Hitch is very heavy duty which is nice. Think some more engineering could go into it so you don’t have to use the Allen to snug hitch to keep from rattling. I ended up purchasing the rubber inserts. Definitely recommend if towing heavy trailers.

This hitch is stout! I'm the type that I'd rather have more capability than what I may actually use. For what I will use this for, I'm 100% sure it will be way more than I'll ever need but I'm also confident that I would not have any issues using it regularly at it's maximum capability. The construction of it is top notch and I'd be willing to bet it can do more than what it's rated for.
I will definitely be ordering the 20K Pintle that works with this as well as a Curt 5th Wheel and Gooseneck. Thank you ETRAILER and thank you CURT for amazing service and and amazing product.
I have been completely satisfied with this product. Very durable, solid beyond my expectations. Whether towing 1/2 ton or 6 tons I have no concerns that the trailer and load aren't safe and secure. Would purchase again but won't need to as this hitch was built to last.

This is a fantastic hitch. I regularly pull a 15K equipment trailer with this hitch. I do keep it well greased and have seen no real signs of wear other than minor rubs on the gold colored treatment on the 2 516 ball. Ive also pulled a 9K trailer over 4,000 miles across country on the 2 ball. The hitch fits well, doesnt make much clunk or rattle noise when unweighted. I have had other hitches that made a lot of noise because the fit was sloppy. Thats not the case with the Curt 2.5. Overall, Im very happy with the hitch.

After one year it has held up fantastically. Very little to no rust showing. It has been very durable through the heavy snow and salt life after a winter season. I still would recommend this to anyone.
