Today we're going to take a look at the Bulletproof Hitches adjustable two ball mount for a two and a half inch hitch, and this one is a six inch drop or rise and a 36,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. This two ball mount will slide into your two and a half inch hitch receiver opening and it'll let you hookup your trailer to your tow vehicle. The hitch ball is going to provide the connection point for your trailer coupler. This is an adjustable design ball mount, provides up to a six inch drop or rise and it'll allow you to tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle, so this type ball mount will work will if you're a contractor that use different size trailers so you will only have your one truck. You can put this in there and tow all the different trailers, with just the one ball mount.This one happens to offer four different ride heights. It's in two inch increments and they're easily set by just pulling these two pins and moving the ball up or down.

Right now I have it in the standard position so there's no drop or rise. What you would do is if you would drop it down to the next hole, in other words this position, and as you drop it down here that would drop it two inches, to that one would be four inches, that one would give you six inches. Again, if you flip it over you can do it in the rise the same way.This ball mount is a heavy duty steel construction. It is precision CNC milled and drilled and that'll give you less rattle because of the close tolerances they use when they build these. It does use a five sixteenths thick channel frame right here, which makes it very strong and durable.

It has a half inch thick welded gusset plate here that'll brace the shank and the channel. The hitch balls themselves are welded that ball platform for extra sturdiness. Because of that solid shank, the gusset plate, and that solid dual ball platform it is built for extreme duty towing. The total weight on this thing is about 48 pounds, so it does give you the security.This part is made in the USA with USA steel. This part is used by us military, so it does give you the piece of mind that the product uses quality materials.

The edges on the shank here, they are CNC tampered for appearance and function. The reason it's for function is because it makes it easy to remove the ball mount and install it into the receiver. Lots of times when you use a shank that is actually all square and your hitch will get built up with dirt or grime when you try to slide it in, it makes it hard to get in and out or lining the holes up. This one they chamfer there and there's no sharp edges so it makes it easier to slide in and out and because there's no sharp edges it gives you less chance of finish problems. You won't have your finish flaking off or breaking off.The hitch comes powder coated in a nice textured heavy duty black finish.

That heavy duty finish keeps the ball mount looking new all the time instead of worn or rusty after a short time. To install this or to attach this to your hitch receiver, the pin holes right here does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for securing to your hitch receiver. One, two, three, four, and each time you move it it'll move it two inches. Right now I have it in the stock high, so there's no drop or rise. If I pull out the clips and then pull out these pins, now these pins are hardened steel pins. Then if you drop it down, put the pin back in, where'd it go, there we go. Now we'll put that one in. Then you clip it now you've went down two inches. Again, if you want to go down further, if you need to get level, you can go down to four inches or six inches.Basically you just move this ball platform lower or raise it higher to match your application. Again, you can flip this over and also use it in the rise position. If you notice it uses two different sized hitch balls here. It has a two inch diameter and a five sixteenths. It'll let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes and it's very simple to switch which ball to use the same way. Just pull your pins out and if you don't want to use the two inch pull it out of there, flip it right over, put it right back in there, put your pin back in, clip it and you're all ready to go with the different sized ball, so very quick easy to flip to whichever size inch ball that you need.This parted does exceed SAE J684 weight testing requirements. Application again, it's designed to fit into a two and a half inch by two and a half inch trailer receiver. This part number is ideal for vehicles with 19 inch to 21 inch clearance from the ground to the bottom of your receiver tube. We mentioned the maximum drop or rise is six inches. The ball sizes again, two inches and two and five sixteenths inches. The gross towing weight capacity, that will depend on the ball size you use. If you use the larger two and five sixteenths diameter you can have gross towing weight capacity of up to 36,000 pounds. If you smaller two inch ball it'd be up to 12,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity is 6,000 pounds. Distance, we're going to give you some measurements on this now.The distance from the hitch pin hole to the adjustment hole right here, and there's two hitch pin holes. From the closest one that measurement's going to measure right at . see if we can get down there. It's going to be right at eight and one eighths inches. For the furthest hole, center to center is 9 and five eighths inches. The distance from the center of the adjustment hole to the center of the hitch ball is going to be right at three and three eighths inches. Overall height on the channel itself is right at about 12 inches.
