Recommended Replacement Coupler For An Atwood 2" Coupler

Question:

Coupler Repair Kit for Atwood 2-5/16 Item # CP02-020 Hello, I have an Atwood a frame coupler but its a 2 inch ball. Is there another part number for that repair kit or will this one work? Is it adjustable? I believe my coupler is 9,000lbs. and the trailer is a tandem axle lawn utility. Im looking for a replacement for the latch instead of having to cut off the entire welded on coupler. Thank you

I went ahead and checked, and unfortunately there is not a coupler repair kit for your 2" Atwood coupler.

With that being said, the best solution is going to be a full coupler replacement. I recommend checking out the:

-Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler w/ Jack Hole - eZ-Latch # DM14793-81.

This coupler is made for 2" hitch balls, has a maximum capacity of 10,000-lbs, and has a bolt-on installation.
