Hello, neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our Reese Towpower Farm Jack with a 42 inch lift, rated at 7,000 pounds. So folks, this farm jack will make it super easy to work with, as far as lifting, pulling, clamping, or even spreading. So you can pull up posts, tear out stumps, and so much more with this kind of jack. So it's gonna make you nice and prepared for your off-road excursions and those kind of things. The long handle here is gonna give you a nice ratcheting effect and make it easy to multiply the effort that you use.
It also keeps the operator a safe distance in case something does slip, break, those kinda things. Now, you can also remove the jack handle for storage if you so choose. Now, the whole thing here is a nice super heavy-duty steel construction. It's been powder coated red in the red spots and black in the black spots, obviously. That's gonna make it corrosion resistant, rust resistant, and those kinda things as well.
Now, I do wanna show you the long handle. If you noticed, it's got a clip here that helps hold it in place. Whenever it's time to use it, you wanna make sure that this guy is up here in the rise position. If you we inchesre gonna lower the jack, you would then push that down, and then once you push the plate, it'll go down. I'm already at the bottom, so I'm gonna lift it up.
And we're gonna go ahead and crank up. And I'll zoom out here to show you that handle. So very simple action. Again, we're going up, very simple. And again, let's say we wanna go down.
Now, keep in mind, I'm one handed here, so this may just drop. I'll try not to. There we go. So right now it's freely up or down, it's not locked in. I'll go and lock it back in. And then you get a closeup of that spring retention there for the handle, that's holding the handle in place. And while I got it here, I'll point out that we have an overall height of 48 inches on the jack, 42 inches of lift, the handle's 36 inches long. And it has a weight capacity of 7,000 pounds. Now, if you so choose, you can get a handle holder that's sold separately or a footplate as well. And the footplate would give you a wider base for extra stability, and the handle holder would be used to secure the handle and eliminate any rattle in play. So right now, this handle holder is gonna keep it up, but the actual handle holder would get in here and keep everything nice and tight. So I recommend those for you. Now, I wanna show you the operation with the handle down, so you can kinda see that full length that we're talking about. And again, up here on the top, that's where you would maybe put a chain hook or something if you're maybe pulling something up, maybe you wanna pull out some big posts. Just the other day, I was pulling out some four by four posts and some six by six posts that we inchesre in concrete. Unfortunately, I didn't have something like this, this would've worked nice actually to then put a chain around something and jack it up out of the ground. In my case, I ended up having to cut them off at the ground unfortunately, and then dig them out by hand after that. So this could have saved me a lot of time and effort, and that's just one scenario. Again, this would lift up a vehicle, change a tire, something like that. If you get stuck, lift it up to put some traction under the wheels maybe, those kinda things. Well, folks, I think that is gonna wrap it up for our quick look at our Reese Towerpower or Towpower Farm Jack in a 42 inch lift, 7,000 pound capacity. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching with me today. I hope this information has been helpful for you, and possibly educational as well. Have a good one, folks.
