Hi Carl; the saddle attachment on the Power Mountain Tallboy Off-Road Bottle Jack # PM34FR is 3-1/4" wide at the base of it before the sides flare out. What will you be using the jack for?

We would be using it for tractor axle, Jeep/Ram axle and also RV axle. So it appears it can hold a 3" axle comfortably at the base. Thanks for the info.

Based on the measurement above, I'm guessing this cradle cannot accommodate a large 4.5" diameter axle. But that really depends on the angle of the side flanges. Can you confirm?

@Ken that is correct, it will not work well for a 4-1/2" axle since it is not wide enough.

@RobinH The saddle leaves a little room to spare on my 3500 Sprinter dually with 4” diameter axle tubes. The saddle is only high enough to prevent slipping off (perfect height, I like it) I’m pretty sure that it will work fine with a 4.5” diameter axle.
