Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the digital torque adapter. The Performance Tool Digital Torque Adapter 1/2" Drive features clockwise and counterclockwise operation. It basically converts any 1/2" ratchet into a digital torque wrench. That way you don't gotta spend a lot of money and go out and buy a separate torque wrench. This read out adapter, once it's installed in the socket wrench, this portion right here is able to rotate, that way you can always get easy visibility of the display screen. It does include both buzzer and LED torque indicators, so you can choose whatever one works best for you.It is accurate up to plus or minus 2%.
And it features multiple measuring units: kilogram centimeter, kilogram meter, foot pound, inch pound and newton meter. The automatic sleep mode is a really nice design. That engages after three minutes of non-activity. And when the battery voltage is under 2.6 volts, a low battery icon will show on the display, just telling you, "hey, maybe it's time to start thinking about replacing the battery". It does come with a battery.
This is the compartment back here. You will need a small Phillips size screwdriver to gain access to that. The battery type is a DC 3 volt CR2032 battery.Again, it's a 1/2" drive and it comes with adapters for 3/8" and 1/4" drives. Torque range is 30 to 150 foot pounds and it has 10 pre settings and that allows you to set a torque setting for frequently used torque specs, really nice design on the unit. You can just simply scroll through to the one you need.
Le's say you're installing a hitch and you're installing a certain brand and they use the same torque specs, well you can go to that setting and you're already set up and ready to go.It does come with a nice storage case, so that's a nice durable case as well, small compact design, so you can always take this with you. It doesn't take that much space at all. It's got your instructions in there as well. So to turn it on, you press this button here and it'll kick on and then you have your option buttons down here. So the U is how you change your units.
You can scroll through those. And then this allows you to scroll through your settings. So you have a setting, a pre-setting that starts with 01 and then you can move through those.So there's two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and nine. So there is a total of 10 and it starts with zero and goes one through nine. So it's really nice design, very easy to use, hold down that button and it will shut the unit off. That's going to do it for today's look at the digital torque adapter.

I have used my old torque wrench for years always wondering if I am really hitting the pondage. This digital attachment tells me exactly. Looking forward to now knowing for sure. Etrailer has always been great to deal with. A safe weight hitch I bought years ago has given me great service still today. I always k ow my tongue weight when towing.
Useless. I tested it on a cordless impact driver on a lug nut I had torqued to 90 ft. lbs. with a clicker-type manual torque wrench. Connected to the cordless impact wrench, this piece of junk consistently read between 1.4 and 2.0 ft. lbs. when torqueing on that lug nut. Yes, I checked to be sure it was reading in foot pounds, not newton-meters or kg/cm. And yes, I am sure the lug nut was really torqued to 90 ft. lbs. Tried several times. Same reading every time.
Don't waste your money. I am returning it.
Turned my standard 1/2" breaker bar into a torque wrench. Just used it on a project and it worked perfectly. The beeper system is a great feature and the multi-set option let me step up the torque with out resetting each tightening cycle.
Maybe I am just "dense" or something but the manual is not informative enough to explain how to use all the buttons. So it took me quite awhile to "trial and error" until I figured it out. Once I got it, it has worked good. I torqued all my trailer lugs and checked my truck lugs without a problem. It would just help a lot if the manual was written better.
A simple way to make any 1/2" socket wrench into a torque wrench. Instructions were easy to follow and the product worked just as advertised.
Have not had a chance to use it yet. It appears to be a quality tool. I’m sure it will perform as advertised as all my purchases from etrailer have.
Not what I had in mine, but it is ok. Haven't used it again since first use.

I ordered the digital torque adapter. When I ordered I needed the part immediately, so I was happy when it was in my mailbox the next morning. I haven't used the part to much yet but from the little I have I can say it will make my shop much more efficient. I am very satisfied with the part and the customer service.
