The Curt A25 with S25 Slider is built from sturdy steel and rated for 25,000 lbs gross towing weight and 6,250 lbs vertical load. It’s designed for heavy-duty fifth wheel towing with the kind of solid feel that inspires confidence mile after mile. The carbide powder coat finish stands up to years of use, and the included rails and mounting kit give you everything needed for a secure install.
Instead of a slide-bar latch, this hitch uses an interlocking 2-jaw system that fully wraps your trailer’s king pin for 360-degree contact. That tight hold eliminates the rattle and movement common with simpler designs, making the ride smoother and quieter. The jaws also make coupling easier—you’ll feel it seat firmly so you know the connection is locked in solid before heading out.

You don’t have to guess if it’s coupled right. The color-coded indicator tells you exactly what’s happening—red for uncoupled, yellow for ready to couple, and green when it’s locked for towing. The indicator is visible from the cab or at the hitch, giving instant peace of mind when hitching up or pulling away.

For slow turns in tight spots, the S25 slider moves the hitch up to 12" front to back so the trailer clears your cab during sharp maneuvers. It automatically latches in both directions and slides smoothly without binding, letting you focus on driving instead of hopping out to adjust anything mid-turn.
When it’s time to clear the bed or perform maintenance, the hitch head lifts off easily with a single pin. Two built-in zerk fittings make lubrication simple, and the included plastic lube plate keeps hookup smooth every time. It’s built for convenience without sacrificing strength or security—exactly what you want when towing big fifth wheels.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT Custom Fit fifth wheel bracket kit for the Dodge Trucks. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2006 to 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 extended crew cab trucks. Also the 2003 to 2012 Dodge Ram and Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks. Now on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application.
Now these brackets right here, these are designed to mount beneath your truck bed, and they provide the attachment points for your fifth wheel base rails to attach to. It does require the CURT base rails, works with the part number C16104, C16204, or the C16205. We carry all three of those. Difference between those three is just the finish on them. Now these do provide a custom fit by mounting to existing holes that are in your vehicle's frame.
You can see the holes already drilled in these mounting brackets. These will line up with the holes on your vehicle, so it minimizes the amount of drilling that's required. So it cuts the insulation time in half when compared with just the universal bracket kits that are out there. It will include everything shown here on the table, includes all four of the mounting brackets, all the necessary hardware for installation, and even a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. Now these parts have a nice black powder coat finish on them to resist corrosion, and they are designed to work with industry standard rails that are compatible with B&W, CURT, Draw-Tite, Reese, and Husky Above Bed fifth wheel trailer hitches.
But that should do it for the review on the CURT Custom Fit fifth wheel bracket kit for your Dodge Trucks.

This is a little confusing. Is the correct measurement 26 34 or 26 1/4 ??I installed a Curt rail kit a couple years ago. I do recall that if you use the instructiondimension...things line up better on a Dodge front rail if everything would have been about a 1/2 inch further rearward. Is there any way this can be clarified? I am starting on another install today. thanks.
