With its black cerakote finish, rocks and road debris can't chip or ding this hitch, so rust doesn't stand a chance. Plus, it comes with a stainless steel double-sided tow ball, so switching sizes is a breeze. Flip it around to stow it.

Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features a stainless steel 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank and simply flip over the platform so that either the 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball is on top. Slide it back up along the shank to the desired height and reinsert the dual pins, hitch up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers.
This ball mount's convenient stowable design keeps the ball mount platform out of your way when you're not towing. To stow the ball mount platform, simply pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank. Place the ball mount platform on the backside of the shank facing your vehicle. Reinsert the dual pins to attach the platform to the shank. The 180 Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your application.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 hitch with two ball mount for your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This 180 hitch is going to slide into your 2 1/2 inch receiver and it's going to give you a two inch and a 2 5/16 inch double-sided stainless steel tow ball, making switching tow ball sizes very easy, so you can tow different types of trailers, whether you're towing a small utility trailer, or an RV, or a boat. The dual functionality is going to eliminate the need for multiple hitches. And then when you have the shank in this orientation, this is going to give you a maximum drop of six inches.
And then when you flip this over, it's gonna give you a maximum rise of seven inches with an incremental adjustment of one inch, giving you that height adjustability so you can tow trailers of different heights all with the same vehicle. Now, with the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, you're gonna get a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds, with the two inch ball, 8,000 pounds. And then the maximum tongue weight for this unit is 2,200 pounds. This hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, giving you superior strength and durability. This really great black Cerakote finish, it's a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability.
So not only does this finish make this hitch look great, but if you tow in harsh environments, such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is going to do a great job of protecting this hitch while keeping it looking great and helping it to work properly for many years to come. Now, this does feature a dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball sizes very easy. So let me give you a brief demonstration of that. I'm gonna take one of the keys here, insert it into the lock, give it a turn, and then that's going to allow me to easily remove this. If you notice, I'm gonna turn the key back to the locking position, and I just dropped it on the floor.
Let me pick that up there real quick. So this is going to be currently in the lock position. While I have this out, I wanted to mention that our dual pins are aluminum, the housing is aluminum, and our lock is plated steel. So this is going to do a great job of resisting corrosion. It's gonna hold up really well for you.
It's gonna be durable. But notice just how easily the ball platform will slide up and down on this shank. So there's no binding, there's no difficulty whatsoever. I also wanted to show you that this is stowable. So let me just turn this around real quick. And so all you have to do is put the ball platform behind the shank, line up the holes with the dual pin slider lock, and then you're not going to have to worry about banging up your shins when you're walking behind your truck when you have this in the stowed position. So that's an added feature that this provides and it's gonna be very easy to use. So let me go ahead, switch this over to my two inch ball. And again, it's just very easy to adjust. And then I'm gonna go ahead and replace the dual pin slider lock here. Let me walk around the table so I can see what I'm doing. So again, I've got this in the locked position. All I have to do is line up the holes, push it in, and it's locked. So I don't need the key in there to lock that up. And then I've got this rubber cap that's included that's going to protect the keyway of that lock, and we're good to go. So if you notice, you're not going to be at the back of your truck struggling to get the tow ball size you're looking for, the height adjustment that you're looking for, or even to stow it, it's all gonna work very simple for you. A great added benefit that comes with this is our hitch pin lock. So I'm gonna take the keys again. By the way, you're gonna get four keys. Everything is keyed alike, so one key is gonna operate the hitch pin lock and the dual pin slider lock. So all you need is one key for everything. I'm gonna go ahead and stick this key in, unlock this and, again, remove, turn it in the lock position, remove the key. We got this rubber cap here to protect that lock. So when I'm ready to lock this back up, lock it into my trailer hitch receiver, I don't need the key here, I'll just push it, and we are locked into place, just like that. So very simple to use. And if you're wondering about some measurements, measuring from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, we're sitting right about 8 1/2 inches, from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, about 9 5/8 inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. Now, this is SAE J684 certified and VESC regulation V-5 compliant. So if you're looking for a hitch that's going to be a great long-term investment for you, that's going to give you plenty of versatility, safety, durability, and as you saw, it's gonna be very easy to use, this is really going to be an excellent option for you to consider. And it's really great that you have both the dual locking pin and the hitch pin lock. It just offers that extra level of theft deterrent as well. So it's really gonna be a great protection for your investment as well. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
I recently used the Weigh Safe Cerakote Coated 180 Hitch with a 6" drop on a 1,300-mile trip, and it was fantastic. It handled everything—road grime, snow, salt, and mud—without ever looking dull or dingy.
The dual-ball design makes switching between trailers super easy, and the adjustable drop works perfectly to keep everything level. It was simple to install and felt solid and secure the whole trip. The locking pins kept everything safely attached to my truck, no worries about someone walking away with it. If you need a tough, reliable hitch that looks great and gets the job done, this one’s a no-brainer. Highly recommend!
