Question:

I have a 2005 SR5 2WD Toyota Tundra and have a 6 inch RCD lift with 2.5 inch coil strut spacers on top of the bilstein coilovers as well. Brings to a total of 8.5 front lift on the truck. Now, I am looking to add the air bags to the truck with the 6 inch air bag spacers, which you can correct if I am wrong from reading the past QandA section on this website for the firestone air bag spacers? Question is, does it matter if I install the air bags on the leaf springs or axle? Is there any pros and cons for either route, and what do you guys recommend for my truck? Thanks!

When installing the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part # F2245 on your 2005 Tundra, the lower bracket attaches to the leaf spring and the upper bracket attaches to the jounce bracket. they are not designed to attach directly to the axle as you can see in the attached drawing from the installation instructions.

The spacers you mentioned are part # F2374. These are designed to work with vehicles that already have a 6-inch lift, and are not intended to be used as a lift. If you have a 6-inch lift on the rear of your truck then this system with the 6-inch spacers would work for you.
