Had to grind a little bit on the shell to make it fit my break wheel plate.
Only the L side, the R side fit without trouble.

Mounted and bleed the breaks with out any problems.

Information was included on the mounting of the master cylinder, which made it easier.

Delivery was free and only a couple days.
GREAT

  • Replacement Wheel Cylinders for Dexter Drum Brakes
Good news I can help you find the right replacement wheel cylinder. • Free Backing Hydraulic Trailer Brakes Not Allow Trailer To Back Up
Basically, a free backing brake assembly like # T4423400, will have one shoe that is shorter than the other and the bracket will be a different shape. On a regular assembly, the shoes will by mirror images of each other. Also, on a free backing assembly, you would be able to back up. Also if the actuator has a reverse lockout on it, make sure it is engaged so you can back up. There are 2 types of lockout: manual and electric. A manual lockout will have a lever on the coupler that you have...

  • Which Wheel Cylinder Will Fit My 2001 Shorelandr Single Axle Boat Trailer
I wasn't able to find specific information for your trailer with the part numbers you provided, but I do have some options for you. A very likely fit are the Titan Uni-Servo # T0977700 for the left and # T0977600 for the right. They're single-servo and will fit 10, 12, and 13 inch brakes. If...

  • Hydraulic Surge Conversion To Electric on Trailer with 3,500 lb Axles
Converting to electric brakes would be pretty easy as it would be just a matter of replacing the brake assemblies with electric ones and running some 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 to the assemblies. The easiest assembly set would be the part # AKEBRK-35-SA which are self adjusting. These will work great with your current drums as well.

  • Determining Capacity of Unknown Axle
According to my online research, your axles are old Dexters with a capacity of 3500 lbs apiece. I would recommend confirming this by checking the reference numbers on your bearings. The inner bearings should be # LM48548, outer bearing should be # L44649 and the grease seal should be # 58846. If these reference numbers match up, you have confirmed the capacity. Replacement bearings and seals are available should you need them, but I could not find a hub.
