The interlocking 2-jaw system wraps completely around the king pin to create full 360-degree contact. That tight fit means less movement than slide-bar hitches and a quieter ride overall. By locking in solidly, the jaws help reduce rattle and chucking that can wear on both truck and trailer during long hauls.
You’ll notice how smooth it feels when you pull away. The torsion head pivots on a spherical axial bearing that allows full 360-degree movement. It absorbs road shock and towing noise so the ride feels calm and controlled even over rough terrain. This design helps keep the trailer tracking straight behind you while easing stress on your setup.
The S25 slider provides up to 12" of fore/aft travel to give you the clearance you need during slow-speed turns. Its non-binding design moves smoothly in both directions and automatically latches, so you only need to exit the truck once. Installation is straightforward with the included base rails and mounting kit. Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT Universal Carbide Black Finish Fifth Wheel Base Rails. Now, these base rails will install in your truck bed. And they provide the necessary attachment points for your fifth wheel hitch installation. Now, when these rails are used with the CURT's Custom Mounting Brackets, which we sell separate on a website, these rails will cut in half the time it takes to install your fifth wheel trailer hitch.
We mentioned the finish on this. I'm gonna zoom in and sort of show it. It's a carbide black finish, sort of like a matte black finish, so it matches the finish if you use it on the CURT Q5 20K Fifth Wheel Hitch. Now, these rails are universal, so they will work with the following fifth wheel hitches. They work with the CURT brand, the Draw-Tite, the Hidden Hitch, the Reese, and even the Husky.
This part here will include the two base rails. Now, we mentioned the mounting brackets, the custom mounting brackets, the hardware, and an installation kit is all sold separately. The length on these rails, if we put a tape measure on them from one end to the other, right at 43 inches long. Tracking is showing that it has finally arrived. Can you please let me know if the tracking is correct or not? Sometimes, packages will deliver to the wrong address, so I also recommend you contacting your neighbors if you still have not received it to see if they got it in your place.
