My contact at Curt said the correct 5th wheel install kit for your 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Shortbed EcoDiesel is the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ram # C16307-104 which is designed to fit all models of the 2019-2021 Ram 1500's.

This kit will allow you to use any fifth wheel hitch made for Industry Standard Rails (ISR). Since your truck is a short bed I typically recommend a sliding hitch to give you extra trailer to cab clearance when turning.

I recommend taking a look at the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider # C16521 which is a great sliding fifth wheel hitch that allows an extra 12" of clearance to allow you to make tighter turns without your trailer hitting your cab, and due to the dual jaw design that offers 360 degrees of king pin contact to give you a smoother ride.
