This hitch does the job for you when it's time to make a tight turn. The automatic slider gives you 14" of front-to-back travel so you don’t have to get out and pull a lever or worry about the trailer corner getting too close to the cab. As you turn, the head glides smoothly toward the tailgate, then slides back toward the cab as you straighten out—no gears or small moving parts to jam up, just low-friction plates moving on metal tubes that do it cleanly every time.
Hookup feels simple and secure because the self-locking hitch plate closes automatically once the king pin drops in place. The precisely laser-cut, wraparound single-hook jaw locks tight around the king pin with less rattle than slide-bar styles, giving you a more confident connection. You can even lock the handle with a padlock (sold separately) for extra peace of mind when parked.
This setup is rated for 20,000 lbs gross towing weight and a 5,000 lbs vertical load limit, so it’s built to handle large fifth wheels without flinching. The dual-articulating head pivots front-to-back and side-to-side to help limit chucking and keep movement steady over rough roads. All of it’s wrapped in a black powder coat and e-coated steel finish that stands up well to use and road wear.
When you’re not towing, clearing out your truck bed doesn’t have to be a chore. The SuperGlide breaks down into manageable pieces—the full base weighs 187 lbs, but the removable hitch plate only weighs 43 lbs—so it’s easier to lift off when you want your bed space back. Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the PullRite custom installation kit with the base rails for your fifth wheel trailer hitches. Has a 20,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2014 and newer RAM 2500 trucks with a 6-1/2 foot bed and without the OEM prep package. And on a custom fit cart like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application.
Now, this installation kit is designed to let you mount your fifth wheel trailer hitch in the bed of your truck. The mounting brackets, two right here, two right up here, these mounting brackets are designed to install beneath your truck bed and they provide the attachment points for these above bed base rails. And the base rails themselves is what will provide the necessary mounting points for your fifth wheel hitch to your vehicle. Now, the custom fit mounting brackets right here, these are designed to mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame. This will help minimize drilling and measuring, reduces installation time, and it'll avoid any known obstacles along your truck's frame.
Wanted to zoom in and mention one of the best features they use on these PullRite mounting brackets are these built-in tabs right here just below the slotted bolt hole. I zoomed in a little bit just so I can show you. There's the tab you can see. Basically these tabs right here will help eliminate one of the biggest problems when installing your mounting brackets to your vehicle, which is how to keep the nuts here in place while installing these bolts to your mounting bracket or the mounting brackets to your vehicle. I did wanna pop up an insert to show you the underside to give you an idea.
But basically those tabs, again right here, you can see it's sort of a thin piece of metal, basically what those do is when you go to install the nut, what you do is bend it down a little and slide the nut in the slot there and that slot will hold the nut in place. So when you put your bolts through there, you can tighten it up and that tab will hold the nut in place. Lots of times when you install these on a vehicle, they don't give you much room to access that, so it's nice because putting that tab in there will help ease installation. Now, this kit is compatible with the PullRite, the B&W Patriot, the CURT, the Demco, the Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, and even Reese above bed fifth wheel hitches. The parts are a nice black powder coated steel, which is corrosion resistant.
Does come with everything shown here, the two base rails we mentioned, the custom mounting brackets, the hardware's all included, and even a nice set of installation instructions to describe how it all goes together. These parts are made in the USA. And again, the gross towing weight capacity on this kit is 20,000 pounds.
