Will the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit Work on a 2024 Ford F-350 w/out the Puck System?

Updated 01/02/2025 | Published 12/26/2024

Question:

Will the RP30126 work on a 2024 F350 (w/o OEM puck system)? If so, I'd rather have an auto-slider like Pullrite vs a B&W. Will that combination work?

Hey Tom! I am sorry but the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit item # RP30126 only fits up to the 2016 model years and no one makes a comparable after market puck system for the 2024 F-350's.

For an autoslider set up you will have to add a set of 5th wheel rails to your truck bed. The PullRite Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails item # PUL99RR is custom fit for your F-350 and installs in predrilled holes in the frame.

The PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch item # PUL63RR has a 20,000 lbs capacity and will give you 14" of travel from front to back for help making tight turns. The automatic slider allows you to stay in the cab and not have to get in and out of your truck.

The only option I have that is comparable to an OEM puck system is the B&W Companion Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Turnoverball for Ford Super Duty item # BW25XR. This kit provides you with a gooseneck hitch and a manual sliding 5th wheel hitch. Your bed will not have rails installed because everything can be removed using this set up.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier, I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole and 4-Pole Connector item # C69CR. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.

Maybe i should order the Ford uck unit, have dealer install it. I guess that would solve several issues!

@TomF Yeah that is not a bad solution if you're able to do that.
