Secure, Two-Piece Jaw

Q24 Two-Piece Jaw

Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

Three-Point Indicator System

Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).

Q24 Color Indicator System

360-Degree Pivot

Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.

Video Transcript for All You Need to Know About the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for Chevy/GMC

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for your Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Now this is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2011 to 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 trucks with either the six and a half foot bed or the eight foot bed and without the OEM prep package. Now on a custom-fit part like this, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the Fit Guide, put in your year, model, vehicle.

It'll show if this will work for your application. Now these brackets here are designed to mount beneath your truck bed, and they provide the attachment points for your fifth-wheel rails to attach to. Now those base rails we do sell separate on our website. Does require the base rails, part number C16104, C16204, or C16205. Those rails will bolt to these mounting brackets.

Now these brackets here will provide a custom fit. They mount to existing holes that are in your vehicle's frame. You can see the holes right here in the sides. These holes will eliminate the need for drilling. Cuts the installation time in half when compared with universal bracket kits.

Now it does include all the necessary hardware to install this. Comes with a nice set of instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. And these parts have a nice black powder coat finish on to resist corrosion. And these brackets are designed to work with the industry-standard rails that are compatible with B&W, Curt, Draw-Tite, Reese, and Husky above-bed fifth-wheel trailer hitches. But that should do it for the review on the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for the Chevrolet and GMC trucks.

  • Best Way to Install a Gooseneck Hitch in a Truck w/ 5th Wheel Rails
Hey Rebecca. So long as you have a set of 5th wheel rails like item # C16411-204 installed in the bed of your new 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, all you'll need is the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails item # 16055. This will attach directly to those rails like your Reese 16K 5th wheel hitch. I have attached a picture below so you can see how the gooseneck plate looks when it gets setup. It has 3" of offset built into it for better turning clearance. You'll want...

  • How Many Bolts Are Used To Mount The Curt 5th Wheel Brackets To The Frame Of A 2012 Chevy Silverado
On 2016 and newer models there's weld nuts available for you to insert two more bolts in the brackets for the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC # C16411-204. Since you have a 2012 you're good to go with just the two bolts you referenced. In the attached video below where Dave installs these on a 2013 you'll see he only uses two bolts on the side brackets when attaching them to the frame.

  • Recommended 5th Wheel Underbed System for 2015 Chevy Silverado Short Bed with Gooseneck Integrated
There is only one option to help you get the gooseneck and rails you desire in your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed. The standard rails attach at the same locations as the gooseneck hitch brackets so individual options are not compatible. My recommendation is to use the Reese Elite Series Under-Bed Gooseneck Complete Hitch # RP30158-68 which will give you the underbed gooseneck hitch and the underbed rails with the pucks for a clean bed when not in use. Then you can use your current...

  • Will The Curt 5TH Wheel Hitch Rails Fit With Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch on 2018 Chevy 3500?
The Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16411-204 will not fit your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 as you already have the Rails # C60604 for a gooseneck hitch installed where the rail brackets mount. If you have the Double Lock # C607-604 you can use the Adapter # C16210 for using a 5th wheel hitch.

  • Can Demco Autoslider be Used with2015 GMC Sierra 3500 Factory Gooseneck Hitch
Hey Nathan, thanks for reaching out! There is a bit to unpack here, but to start things off, I'm not seeing that a 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 would have had an OEM gooseneck receiver without the rest of the pucks, so I believe you have an aftermarket system. A single point attachment can't be used with an auto-sliding hitch like the Demco # DM8550034 because that feature will put too much torque on the single point and cause issues. The only way to use the Demco is if you install standard base...

Hey Kristi, we used to carry the custom brackets that fit Reese fifth wheel rail kits to your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 but due to Reese having financial issues we can't get them anymore. Best solution we have would be the Curt fifth wheel rail kit part # C16411-204 which is a custom fit for your truck and also provides same rail design as what your Reese hitch is made to fit.

Hey Kenny. So long as your 2016 GMC Serra 2500 Denali has a set of 5th wheel rails the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider C16541 is indeed compatible. If you need a set of 5th wheel rails, I recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC item # C16411-204. • Can a Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch Be Used With a Long Bed Truck
You absolutely can put a slider 5th wheel hitch in your 2015 Chevrolet 3500 long bed; it's more than likely you won't need the sliding function to make turns so it could stay in the forward travel position. The only downside to it is there is more moving parts with slider hitches, which means there's going to be more noise when you're towing. Not to mention they are bigger and weigh more than stationary hitches so removing, and installing them is a little more difficult. To put your existing...

  • Recommended Fifth Wheel System For 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 For Full Bed Access When Not towing
For an underbed rail system that gives you full bed access when you are not towing I recommend the Reese rail kit, part # RP30868. The hitch that would work well with this is the Curt Q24, part # C16245. To get this system to work together, you will need the adapter, part # RP30154. This allows you to be able to use the Curt hitch with the underbed rail kit. Since you do not seem to like the design of the B&W hitch, this is the system I would go with. If you change your mind the system...

  • Recommended Fifth Wheel Hitch for Un-Level Terrain
For hitching and unhitching on uneven terrain, the Curt Q24 you mentioned, part # C16245 would be ideal for you. The hitch features a spherical axial bearing that allows the hitch a full 360 degree tilt, not just side-to-side and front-to-back. This will lessen the chance of the hitch binding on the king pin. The Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Hitch Install Bracket Kit you mentioned, part # C16411-204 would be the correct install kit for your truck. In order to install the fifth wheel hitch,...

  • Can I Upgrade to a Higher Capacity 5th Wheel Hitch without Upgrading the Installation Rails
Assuming that you've got industry standard rails like the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30035 you won't have a problem adding another 5th wheel hitch with a higher capacity. The base rails will be able to handle any weight that you throw at them within the capacities of your tow vehicle, so upgrading to a larger 5th wheel hitch won't be an issue assuming it is designed to fit in the same industry standard base rails. With that said,...

  • What Mounting Slot Spacing on 5th Wheel Rails Fit the Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch
The Curt Q24 5th wheel trailer hitch # C16245 fits in industry standard above the bed rails. Industry standard rails have mounting slots that measure 22 inches on center front to back (it is actually closer to 21-13/16 inches). Side to side there are 3 sets of mounting slots per rail. The outside set is spaced 29 inches apart on center, the middle set, which is where the hitch will mount, is spaced 20-1/2 inches apart on center. And the inner set is spaced 10 inches apart on center. I...

  • Parts Needed To Tow a 38ft Toy Hauler With a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
Happy to help you out, Alan! I'm not entirely sure how much weight your setup involves, so I’ll give you a few hitch options to consider. Since you mentioned it's a toy hauler, you’re probably towing a good amount of weight, so I’d recommend going with a system rated for at least 20,000 lbs. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with choosing a hitch rated even higher A great 20K option would be the Curt A20 hitch with custom rails, part # C53WV.
