Parts Needed To Rebuild Hub On 1985 Shoreline Boat Trailer
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
I have a 1985 shoreline boat trailer and have had a lot of trouble finding a complete replacement hub if it exists. It is a 13inch wheel, 5 bolt x 4.5 inch hub. The spindle diameter is 1.25 1inch where the castle nut screws on the end. The bearings inside are both LM67048. The washers were missing, so I also need the correct ones. Any clues? I see there are kits out there, but I prefer to just replace the whole unit.

I have a replacement bearing option for you, but at this time we do not offer a replacement hub that uses # LM67048 as the inner and outer bearing.
You could replace the bearings with # LM67048, and replace the grease seal on each hub as well given there is not severe damage to the hub itself.
To determine the correct replacement grease seal you will need to use digital calipers like # PTW80157 to precisely measure the spindle where the grease seal goes, and the inside of the hub where the grease seal is pressed in.
With these two measurements I will be able to confirm the correct replacement seal for you.
Lastly for a replacement washer you can use the # SW1000 since your spindle has a diameter of 1" where the castle nut goes.
