Thule Roof Rack Review - 2008 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Thule Roof Rack System consisting of the Thule Aero Blade Crossbars and Thule Rapid Crossroads Foot Pack, part numbers THARB53 and TH450R. Crossbars are also available in black, part number THARB53B. Thule Roof Rack System is great for carrying roof mounted items like your kayak carriers and bike racks on your roof. Our crossbar has an aerodynamic shape to reduce wind noise and drag, and a removable weather strip for channel mounted accessories. Foot pack has its own removable end cap with included tool that easily inserts in the end and snaps into place. Lock cores can be added to prevent theft and tampering. Food pads include a rubber coating to prevent scratches on any part of your vehicle that it touches. This roof rack system capacity is 165 pounds, however you do want to check your vehicle's owner's manual to check if the roof can withstand that much weight.



Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2008 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty we'll be taking a look at and showing you how install the Rhino Rack Roof Rack System. This is going to consist of part numbers RRVA137B-2, that's going to be our Rhino Rack Vortex Crossbars. These are also available in silver, part number RRVA137S-2. And part number RRSX001, that's going to be our SX Series Legs for our crossbars. The Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System is going to be a raised roof rack to fit your vehicle accessories, whether those are bike racks, kayak carriers, cargo baskets, or ski and snowboard carriers. The aerodynamic shape of our crossbar is going to help to reduce wind noise and drag, and removing our end cap we can see our included whether strip that's easy to remove to accommodate channel mounted accessories. It can also be easily cut down. The foot pack is going to grip onto your raised rail and have rubber on any portion that will touch your vehicle to help prevent scratches or abrasions.



Thule Roof Rack Review - 2005 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2005 Jeep Liberty we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Aeroblade Roof Rack System. This is going to be your Thule Aeroblades with the crossroads foot packs. This is going to be part number THARB53, and foot pack will be TH450R. We'll show you how that's all put in place, as you can see the other one's already up there, so we'll show you how to put it up there as well. Flip it over, remove the cap off the end by swiveling out, pressing in the little tab there, and pulling out. Next take your foot pack, remove the end cap with the tool built into it. Undo the strap, make sure it's loose, and slide it inside the T-tread.



Thule Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2008 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty well be test fitting the Thule Crossroads Roof Rack System part numbers CHLB58 and CH450. Well begin our test fit by placing the front load bar onto the front of our roof. This vehicle is equipped with raised side rails so well make sure that the distance between the connection point of the raised side rail and the roof and the first part of our foot is equal on both sides. We also want to make sure the overhang of the load bar is equal on both sides as well. Once weve established this position we can pop off the end caps to bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the raised side rail. Well then hook them into the connection points and turn the black bolt to bring the straps up around each bar.



Thule Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Jeep Liberty

Today, on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test-fitting the Thule Crossroads Roof Rack System, using part numbers th450 and thlb58. Now, we've already gone ahead and pre-assembled our crossbars according to the instructions, so we're ready to fit it to the vehicle. We'll place our front crossbar on top of our factory raised side-rails. We'll then need to take a measurement. We'll measure from a fixed point on the side rails back to the crossbars. We'll do this on both sides of the vehicle, to ensure that the crossbar is perpendicular with the two-side rails.



Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test fitting the Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack system, using part numbers THARB53 and TH450R. Now to begin our test fit, we've already gone ahead and assembled the cross bars according to the instructions, so we'll start by placing the front cross bar on top of our factory-raised side rails. Now we'll want to make sure that the rubber-coated steel strap goes underneath the side rail, as this is how the foot attaches to it. We'll now take a measurement from a fixed location on the side rail. We'll do this on both sides of the vehicle to ensure that the cross bar is perpendicular with the side rail, making it easier to load your accessories. We can then take the included Allen tool found within each foot and tighten down the Allen bolt securing our cross bar to the vehicle.

RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Bike Rack Review - 2008 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number rky1011. With the Thule Aero Blade Roof Rack System already assembled onto our vehicle we'll begin our test by placing the bike rack onto the vehicle's load bars.We'll start with the rear bracket by loosening up the Allen bolts to bring the rear bracket around the underside of the rear load bar. We'll then use the included Allen key to turn the Allen bolts tightly up against the rear load bar. We'll now move back up to the front where we'll remove the black plastic cover to hook the straps in the connection points.We'll then use the included Allen key to turn the silver bolt to bring the straps up around tightly against the front load bar. Once the front straps are tight we can move back to the rear to finish tightening the rear bracket. Now with everything all tightened down we're ready to load up our bike.We'll replace the black plastic cover at the front and double check to make sure our skewer is loose.



Thule Big Mouth Roof Bike Rack Review - 2008 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty well be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number th599xtr. With a Thule Crossroads roof rack system already assembled onto our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack onto the vehicles load bars. Well go ahead and start with the rear bracket by loosening up one wing nut to bring the bracket around the underside of the rear load bar. Well then reinstall the black wing nuts and tighten them down loosely to allow us to maneuver the bike rack back and forth. Well then move to the front where we will loosen up the t-bolts to bring the brackets around the underside of the front load bar. We can then hook the t-bolts into the brackets and turn the black wing nuts to secure the clamps to the front load bar.



Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2008 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty well be test fitting the Swagman Fork Down Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number s64710. Well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack onto the vehicles load bars. Well then pull out our hardware and start with the silver brackets to go underneath the front load bar into the predrilled holes of the front part of the rack. Well then thread on our black wing nuts onto the silver brackets. Well now move to the rear and take our last silver bracket and this time place down on top of the carrier through the predrilled holes and take the black plate which will go on to the silver bracket up against the bottom side of the rear load bar. Well then use the included wing nuts to thread onto the silver bracket to secure the rear part of the carrier to the rear load bar.

Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2005 Jeep Liberty we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon and rooftop mounted cargo basket. As you can see we've already got our Thule arrow blades up here on top of our raised factory roof rails. This is going to be part number TH859. This basket is going to have a sturdy steel construction with 150 pound weight capacity. It's going to be 49" long, 40" wide, and have a nice depth of about 6" here. As you can see we've already got three of our feet in place and we're going to show you how to put on the last one here on this backside here.



Thule Hyper XL Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2005 Jeep Liberty, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Hyper XL. This is going to be your 17 cubic feet, rooftop mounted cargo box. It's going to come in that nice gloss black and silver finish. Note this one does have a few scratches but yours will be new. This will be part number TH612 and we're going to put it up here on top of our Thule Aeroblades that we already have installed on the vehicle. Let's show you how that's done. First thing we're going to need to do is flip it around to the back side and make sure that all of our feet are open and ready to receive our Aeroblades. Next we'll set the end up like so, remove our hand and slide it as far forward as possible.



SportRack Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2005 Jeep Liberty, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Vista Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket, part number SR9035. This cargo basket is going to have a sturdy, steel construction that's going to offer a hundred and ten pound weight capacity as well as it's going to be forty four inches long, thirty nine and one eighth inches wide as well as have that depth of six inches for max stowing capabilities. As you can see, we already have three of the feet in place, the two in the front and the one on the passenger side rear. We're going to show you how to put the other one on since they all go the same. I'll just take a step up on the tire here and show you how it all goes in place. You're going to have your spacer that's going to go between the bar as you can see there and we'll just adjust this just a little bit. Take your U shape clip, your U shape bolt here, let me un-thread this out of the way.



Inno Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2005 Jeep Liberty we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Shadow Series cargo box. This is going to be your glass black model, part number INBRA1250BK. Now this is going to offer 13 cubic feet of cargo space. We're going to place it up on our aftermarket bars that we already have up on top of the vehicle. Note that this box will fit most all of your factory crossbars, your aero-type bars, square bars, or round bars. Let's go ahead and place it up on top of our crossbars. We'll go ahead and slide it up.



Inno Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2005 Jeep Liberty, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Inno Shadow Series cargo box. This one's going to be 11 cubic feet of cargo space, and come in that nice carbon fiber finish. Just keep in mind, it's going to be carbon fiber finish, and not actually carbon fiber. It's going to be part number INBRA 1170CA. Again, that's INBRA 1170CA. As you can see, we've already got our aftermarket Arrow Tight bars up here on top of our factory roof rail system.



Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box with 22 cubic feet of space, metallic silver in color, part number TH636S. With the Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System up on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box up onto the vehicles load bars. After positioning the clamps to fit over the bars, we can unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. We'll then turn the knobs which will tighten down the clamps up against the bars. This box does feature the AcuTight mounting hardware which will notify you when the clamp has been fully tightened by clicking. We'll then move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same process. Once everything is tightened down and secured you can see that the rear hatch does not come into contact with the rear of the box.



Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box with 13 cubic feet of space in glossy black, part number TH634B. Well then turn the knobs which will tighten down the clamps up against the bars. This box does feature the Accu-Tite hardware which will notify you when the clamp has been fully tightened down by clicking. Well then move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same process.This double-sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the Jeep.



Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test fitting the Thule Pulse Large rooftop cargo box with 16 cubic feet of space, matte black in color, part number TT615. With the Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System installed on our Jeep, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box up onto the roof. Now, this box does only open from one side, so you'll need to position it on the passenger side of your Jeep. With the box in place, we can unlock it and open the lid, exposing the four slots in the bottom of the box. We can then take the clamps, slide them down through the slots, over top of each bar. We can then turn the knobs which will tighten down the clamps. With everything all tightened down and secured, we'll go ahead and move to the rear and open up the rear hatch.





Thule Force XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, well be test fitting the Thule Force XXL rooftop cargo box, with 21 cubic feet space, aero skin black in color, part number TH626. With the Thule rapid crossroads roof rack system up on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the cargo box up onto the vehicles load bars. After positioning the clamps to fit over the bars, we can unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. Well then turn the knobs which will tighten on the clamps up against the bars. After moving to the other side of the vehicle, we can repeat the same process. Now this double sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the Jeep. Moving to the rear of the vehicle, you can see that the rear antenna does come in contact with the box and has been doubt slightly.

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty well be test fitting the Thule Force Large roof top cargo box with 13 cubic feet of space, aeroskin black in color, part number TH624. With the Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack system up on our bars well begin our test fit by placing the cargo box directly onto the vehicles roof. After positioning the clamps to fit over the bars we can unlock the box and open the lid, exposing the two closest knobs. We can go ahead and turn the knobs which will bring the clamps up around tightly against the bars. After moving to the other side of the vehicle well go ahead and repeat the same process. This double-sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the Jeep.





Rhino-Rack Master-Fit Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be testing the Rhino Rack Master Fit rooftop cargo box with 14 cubic feet of space, silver in color, part number RMF400. With a Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack system installed on our Jeep, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box up onto the vehicles load bars. Once we get the box in position, we can unlock it and open the lid, exposing the four slots in the bottom of the box. We can then take the clamps, slide them down through the slots, over top of each bar, and then turn the knobs, which will tighten down the clamps. Now this box does open from both sides, so I'll move to the other side of the vehicle, just to give you and idea of what it looks like. This dual sided opening lid will enable you to easily load and unload cargo from either side of your Jeep. We'll then move to the rear of the Jeep and open up the rear hatch.



Thule Force XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2008 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty we'll be test fitting the Thule Force Double XL Rooftop Cargo Box, part number th626. Now with our vehicle already equipped with the Thule Roof Rack System we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. After positioning the box all the way forward to make sure we can gain access to the hatch.We'll unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. We'll then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against each bar. We can then move to the other side of the vehicle where we can again unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs.Now this double-sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the vehicle. Now once everything is all tightened down and secured you can see that we can easily access the rear hatch of our Jeep Liberty with the Thule Force secured.

Now, with the Thule Roof-Rack system already assembled on to our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the cargo box on to the vehicles load bars. Well position the clamps to fit on to our load bars, well the make sure that we position it all the way forward, so we can access the rear hatch. Once weve established this position, well unlock the box and open the lid exposing the knobs. We can then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against the load bars. We can also move to the other side of the vehicle and open the lid to finish tightening down the clamps.

Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic Medium Roof Top Cargo Box, part number th634b. Now with our vehicle already equipped with the Thule Roof Rack System we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. With the Thule Roof Rack System already assembled onto our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier Review - 2008 Jeep Liberty

Today, on our 2008 Jeep Liberty, well be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier, part number TH810. Now, the Thule Aeroblade system already assembled on to our vehicle, well begin out test fit by placing the front part of the carrier on to the front load bar. Well bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the front load bar and hook them into the connection points. Well then turn the grey knobs to tighten down the straps up against the load bar. With this done, well place the rear part of the carrier on to the rear load bar, bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of our load bar and hook them back into the connection points. Well then turn the grey knobs to tighten down the straps up against the rear load bar.
