If you like keeping your vehicle’s back end clean, this hitch does just that. It installs behind the rear bumper so nothing sticks out when not in use. When you need it, remove the cover and the 2" x 2" receiver is ready for towing or accessories. The visible cross tube sits flush and keeps ground clearance high, which makes it ideal for adding a bike rack or cargo carrier without messing up the factory look.
This hitch bolts straight to the frame—no drilling or welding needed. The mounting points line up with existing holes for a direct fit, making installation simple with standard tools like a ratchet and torque wrench. The custom-fit design ensures the hitch sits exactly where it should, maintaining alignment and stability during towing or when carrying gear.
With a 7,500 lbs gross trailer weight and 750 lbs tongue weight capacity (including when using weight distribution), this Class III hitch handles small campers, boats, and utility trailers with ease. The fully welded, square-tube steel construction delivers strength and reliability mile after mile.
The gloss black powder coat sits on top of a protective base coat for superior corrosion resistance. This double-layer finish shields the steel from road salt and debris, keeping it looking sharp even after years of towing and outdoor use. It’s a hitch built to handle real conditions without rusting out or fading over time.

If the manufacturer puts in new hardware in a hitch receiver kit, it is always best to use it because that is the hardware that they have tested their product with. They know that you should be able to torque the half inch hardware to 110 ft lbs and the 5 sixteenths hardware to 178 in lbs.

I am happy to read that you are pleased with your purchase! You could try looping the rubber cap through the safety chain loop, or you might like part # 306-X6019 which is a magnetic bracket that you could put on the side of the receiver tube.

Glad to hear the install wasn't too bad, George! Now that it's done, it looks like it was meant to be there! ^___^ What are you going to be using the hitch for?
