Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, you're going to be taking a look at the Eclipse magnetic mounting bracket for four-pole flat trailer connectors. Now it's always a good idea to have your trailer wiring permanently mounted rather than just hanging on by the hitch because it could potentially get caught on something, start dragging the road and cause a lot of damage. But with cars becoming nicer and nicer, the hitch manufacturers are trying to hide them as much as possible. So whenever we're not towing, either we have a panel that covers all of this up, or you may just have the receiver tube sticking out and the cross tube is completely hidden behind the bumper; which is nice because it gives our cars really nice clean appearance to them, or really not distracting with the hitch. But the problem arises as where do we mount our four-pole wiringA typical four-pole mounting bracket is going to look like this.
You'll have a couple holes in it so you can screw it into something. Well, I don't want to drill into the painted material on my car. And at the same time, I really don't want to mount it directly to the hitch. Now there are no-drill brackets that you can mount on there, but those typically will bring them out. In a lot of situations, it's still not going to help, because the cross tube isn't going to be visible.
Well, the Eclipse magnet mounting bracket is going to solve all of those issues. It's going to have a rare earth magnet on it, so it would be extremely strong; and basically anywhere that we can fit this and make sure we still have access to our four-pole and we have a metal service it can stick to.So our four-pole wiring. I'm going to go ahead and take the dust cover off. I'm going to slide my bracket in place. Just want to make sure those little notches are on the front side so it won't get pushed through.
And then I'll just stick it to my hitch right here, and my dust cover can go back in place. It's that easy. And if we want to move it in case our cover can't go back in place, or if we just want to kind of hide everything away, you can actually even just move it right on top so it's completely out of the way. And whenever we want to use it, grab our magnet, slide it down into place, and we can hook up our trailer. So if you're looking for a way to solve that problem of not having a good spot to mount your wiring, and also you don't want to drill into your brand new vehicle, this is going to be a great way to solve that. But again, I'm Rob here at etrailer.com; and that'll finish up your look at the Eclipse magnetic mounting bracket for four-pole trailer connectors..

Great service and product. Thank you
Nice product. It has a very strong magnet which holds the connector firmly in place. However, it also allows me to move the connector to hide it behind the bumper cover when not in use, which is nice.
