Question:
Hello. Yesterday, I had Hitch-n-Go West Fargo ND install the following parts on my 2023 Grand Cherokee L. Hitch 13525 Wiring harness 56473 7-way adapter 57672 Bracket 58000 I was not happy with how this turned out for the following reasons. 1. The bracket makes it so that by bumper cover no longer fits, as it hits the bracket. When I point this out, they told me that I could remove the bracket and stuff it inside the bumper, when I wasnt using the hitch. 2. They drilled two holes in the plate where the safety chains hook, even though it states that the bracket is a non drill installation. I am writing today to ask a couple of questions. 1. is that bracket the only option that you have to mount the wiring harness. If so, I think you should look at doing something different this. It seems your competitors have a mounting plate on the hitch frame itself. 2. since they drilled into that plate, does that void my warranty. I know you have nothing to do with the install, and I will be talking with them as well, but wanted to see my options and ask about the warranty. Thank you.

You're not really in a good spot to mount the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter item # C57672 to the Curt Hitch item # C96NR on a 2023 Grand Cherokee L. The Curt Easy Mount Bracket item # C58000 should not have been used for that set up though. There was definitely no need to drill into your hitch to mount it either. It's advertised clearly as a no-drill option.
The competitor you're talking about is Mopar and their pn 82219040AA hitch has a cut out for a 7-way to be imbedded inside of it. This is Jeep's factory hitch and it really is the only option to mount a 7-way and be able to reinstall the cover. I've got a nearly identical set up on my 2023 Durango and there's no room to install an aftermarket bracket and attach the cover.
You'll want to reach out directly to Curt for warranty questions.
