Can a 7 pin wiring receiver, along with a tow hitch, be added to a base model 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xl that does not have a factory tow package?

Hello Allie. Yes, it is possible to add a hitch and a 7-pin wiring harness to your 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe base model without the factory tow package.
For the wiring harness you will need two kits. The Curt T-Connector # C27BR and the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. This will include everything needed to wire the vehicle with a 4-flat and a 7-way, including all of the necessary wires for an electric trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 which is what I recommend.
For the hitch I recommend the Curt Class 3 Hitch # C96NR. This has a 2" receiver and is rated for 7,500 lbs towing or 750 lbs of tongue weight. A few quick notes about this hitch; installation requires temporary removal of the rear bumper and permanent removal of the impact structure. It is also important to note that this hitch will fit models with an 18" or smaller spare tire. Spare tires larger than 18" will NOT be able to be stored under the vehicle.
