Will Curt Hitch for 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Fit with 20 inch Spare

Confused. Under QandA for C96NR it states the Curt hitch will not accommodate a 20” full size spare on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. It also makes reference to a C97NR which I think is a typo error. I have contacted one of your recommended installers and was informed/guaranteed that there is Curt hitch that will accommodate my 20” full size spare. Can you confirm with Curt one way or the other?

Hey Paul, the Curt hitch part # C96NR that fits your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is listed as not a fit for larger wheels than 18 inch spares. If you have an installer that will guarantee the fit that's interesting but I would be curious why they feel that way. Have they installed the hitch before maybe? Part # C97NR is definitely a typo as that's a replacement 4-way.

My installer says that he hitch is the same exact footprint (but obviously beefier) as the bumper bar that needs to be removed to install the hitch. He told me that he has installed dozens of these on Grand Cherokee L’s. My appointment is April 2nd, and I can let you know the results afterwards.
