7-Way Recommendation for a 2012 Nissan NV 2500 to Power an Electric Jack

Published 11/11/2014

Question:

I hooked up the harness on my 2012 Nissan NV 2500 with a bit of a struggle to get the power wire to the battery. Now I am adding an electric jack and Im wondering if I can somehow run it through the same power wire that came off the harness. I would like only 1 connector at the hitch and I am willing to rewire the four flat to a permanent 7-way if it would help, but I am at a bit of a loss as to how to do this. Thanks... you guys are the best.

What you will need to convert your 4-way to a 7-way so that you can power an electric jack would be the part # 37185. You will also need a length of 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) and then a circuit breaker part # PK54540 to route the power wire from this connector to the positive side of your battery through the breaker.

You would not be able to also use the power wire you used to install the 4-way you have on your vehicle. For a trailer side 7-way to install on your trailer you would also want the # H20042.
