This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you the muscle to handle most everyday towing and hauling jobs. With a 7,500 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 750 lbs tongue weight, it’s built for small campers, boats, or cargo carriers loaded with tools or road trip gear. When used with weight distribution, those ratings climb to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW, so you can pull heavier loads while keeping your setup balanced. The 2" x 2" receiver fits the majority of bike racks, ball mounts, and cargo platforms without the need for adapters.
The hitch is made from sturdy, fully welded steel that’s coated inside and out for long-term durability. A gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat to fight off rust, chips, and road grime. Whether you’re towing through rain, snow, or salt-covered roads, this finish helps keep the hitch looking clean and ready for the next trip. The precision robotic welds maximize strength while keeping the fit exact.
You don’t need special tools or shop equipment to mount this hitch. It bolts directly to the frame with no welding required. The complete hardware kit and installation instructions are included, making it straightforward for a DIY install in your driveway or garage. Once it’s in place, the hidden cross tube design keeps a clean look under the bumper while giving you easy access to the receiver opening when it’s time to hook up your gear.

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Nissan NV 2500, we're gonna be installing Curt's Class 3 2-inch trailer hitch receiver, part number C13109.And this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed. You will be able to see a bit of the cross bar underneath, under the bumper, and the receiver tube is gonna stick out just about flush with your bumper, only going back a little bit. It's a Class 3 2-inch by 2-inch receiver, so it's gonna be great for all of your needs, from towing trailers to hauling bike racks. This thing will do just about all you need.It features plate-style safety chain loops, and there's a decent size opening that should accommodate most size safety chains. It uses a 5/8-inch hitch pin and clip. Now, one doesn't come included with the hitch, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. It features a 750-pound tongue weight.
That's the force going down on top of the receiver, and a 7,500-pound gross towing capacity. That's how much it can pull behind it. And if you're using a weight distribution system, that increases the tongue weight to 1,000 pounds, and the gross towing capacity to 10,000 pounds. Now, you do want to make sure you check your vehicle's owners manual to make sure you're not exceeding its towing capacities. And now, to help you when deciding on accessories, I've got some measurements for you. From the ground to the top inside edge of the receiving tube, it measures about 15 inches. This is important when deciding if you need a drop, rise or raised shank on any of your accessories.
From the center of the hitch pin hold to the edge of the rear bumper, it measures about 3 inches. This is important when determining if any of your folding accessories can be placed in the upright position without contacting the bumper. We'll begin our installation under the vehicle on the driver's side. We're gonna clean out all the factory weld nuts to make it easier to install the hardware. There's four weld nuts on each side. We'll spray some lubricant in those and clean it out with a bristled brush.
You can pick up a bristled brush here at etrailer.com.Now, with an extra set of hands, we'll lift our hitch into position, lining up the holes with the weld nuts in the frame, then we'll take one of the bolts, place a conical tooth washer on it with the teeth facing up towards the hitch, and we'll install one on each side. This will hold it in place, making it easier to install the rest of your hardware. Now tighten all of your hardware using a 19mm socket. And torque the hardware to the specifications found in your instructions. And that completes our installation of Curt's Class 3 2-inch hitch receiver on our 2016 Nissan NV 2500.

Exactly what I needed, easy install and perfect fit.
Very happy with the hitch and wiring kit I bought from etrailer. Hitch is sturdy and well made and installed fairly quickly with the hardware provided (and no drilling or modification). The etrailer video made wiring installation straight forward and manageable. A year later, everything still works great.
