Question:
Hi, I have a 2007 f-150 screw 4x4. I will be towing a 31ft travel trailer wich weighs approx 7000lbs. My question is what weight distributing hitch would be the best for my situation and would I benifit from instaling a rear suspention enhansment system instaled.

With length of 31 feet I would highly suggest using a weight distribution system with a Dual-Cam sway control system. Calculating 10-15 percent of the trailer weight gives you an approximate tongue weight range of 700-1,050 pounds. The best fit then for a weight distribution with dual cam sway control would be Reese Trunnion Bar Strait-Line System, part # RP66084. This system is a great fit for your trailer weight and the Dual-Cam Sway control will really help to keep the 31 foot trailer in line.
At this weight, a rear suspension enhancement could prove to be very helpful. The only way to know for sure is to try them, but I imagine due to the length of the trailer you will want them. A suspension enhancement system aids a truck suspension in several ways. The most noticeable is rear-end sag. This probably will not be a problem for you with a weight distribution system. What would be a problem with a 31 foot trailer is twisting and rolling of the truck suspension in a turn.
A large trailer like yours will push on the truck suspension when going through a turn. If the truck suspension is not heavy enough it will not be able to resist the trailer enough and negotiating turns, especially at speed, can be a task. A suspension enhancement system will help the truck suspension push back and will make maintaining control in turns much easier.
If you will be towing this same trailer most of the time with a pretty similar load, I would recommend a Timbren rubber spring kit. Air bags are fine, but for towing the same load you will not need to adjust spring pressure or resistance, so the Timbrens will be much simpler and just as effective. The rear Timbren SES kit we carry for your 2007 Ford F-150 is part # TFR150D.
