Troubleshooting Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar that the Arms No Longer Extend Retract Properly

Question:
I purchased a Falcon 2 tow bar from an individual and have towed a Honda CRV behind my motorhome over 15000 miles. Earlier this year I noticed that it was hard to move the arms in or out. The tow bar was oiled at all times and I could not find out what was wrong. This past August I was trying to connect my car and was unable to pull the arms out. I connected the tow car up and pulled the arms out. When I tried to push them back in, I was unable to do so. When I arrived home, I removed the tow bar from the rear of my motorhome and have put all types of oil and grease on the arms and I have to use force to make them work at all. Can you tell me, if I take the covers from the back of the hitch next to the swivel and use a long bar and push the steel bars out using the release buttons on the bar.

We do carry a service/rebuild kit for the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 that you have that the arms of are not wanting to function properly. You would want a Roadmaster Service Kit for Falcon 2 Towbar # RM910003-65.
I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster about a different customer who was having the same issue as yours and he recommended the rebuild kit.
