Is it possible to replace the nut and bolt of # 52015 with a locking pin?

If you are speaking of using a locking hitch pin/anti-rattle device like part # 63232 with the # 52015, the parts are indeed compatible. The shank of the basket adapter is hollow, so the lock/anti-rattle would work great.

If however you were speaking of the bolt on which the basket would pivot, the 5/8 inch diameter of the pin is too large to fit through that opening.

Hey Jim, I checked the install instructions for the Curt hitch part #33055 and they state that if a front plastic valance is present it will need to get removed. Sounds like that is what you are referring to and it would need to get removed.

Hey Jesus! The #e98ZR comes with an alignment collar and a hitch pin. The Curt #C31006 does not include these and costs a little more. Outside of that, they are the exact same spare mount with different branding. What rig are you setting this up on?
