Question:
I dont see how this would connect in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The factory installed 4 wire doesnt have a disconnect by the hitch, it runs to the passenger side tail light. Are we sure this is a plug and play option for this vehicle? Looks like only the hardware option would be available. Has everyone found this connector under their Jeeps?

The # HM42190 is a replacement wiring harness for a Wrangler Unlimited that's already equipped with a 7-way. If you don't have the OEM 7-way, the connector won't be present.
To convert your existing 4-pole to t a 7-way, use the # 37185 adapter. The adapter would plug directly into the 4-pole, with 4 remaining wires to be connected. The white wire is grounded to the vehicle frame, the blue wire would be extended with a length of 10 gauge wire and connected to the output circuit of your brake controller. The black wire usually provides a 12-volt accessory feed to the trailer. If needed, the circuit would be ran to the positive battery terminal via a 40 amp circuit breaker like part # 9510. The purple wire is usually used for reverse lights on the trailer. If the blue, black or purple wire isn't needed, you can bundle the wires up out of the way and cap the ends off.
If you will be pulling a trailer with trailer brakes, you'll want a brake controller to actuate them. I'd recommend the Tekonsha Primus, part # TK90160. If you're installing a brake controller, you'd want to use our Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7, which includes the parts mentioned above, plus all the necessary hardware, wire, and circuit breakers needed to install your brake controller.
