I spoke with one of our local RV dealers here in Saint Louis and he said that they offer a 6.8 and 8.6 Ft truck camper that would work with your truck. You will need to drop or completely remove your tailgate before hauling this type of camper. When choosing a camper you will also want to make sure that you do not exceed the weight capacity of your truck.
When it comes to tie-downs, I personally recommend going with our custom fit TorkLift camper tie-downs like the # TLF2012 and # TLF3006. These front and rear tie-downs will work on a 2011 - 2014 Ford F-250 with a 6-1/2 Ft (also referred to as 6-3/4 Ft) bed without running boards that extend past cab and a factory installed hitch. If you can give me the year of your F250, I would be happy to help you find custom fit tie-downs for your truck.
In order to secure the camper to the tie-downs, I suggest the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs, # TLS9526-2-LK. Using the quick-release levers on these turnbuckles make this process quick and easy.
We also offer tie-downs like the Brophy Camper Hold Down, # HSSF, with more of a universal fit. The wider design fits most of the newest full-size pickups. I have included a video that covers the installation of these tie-downs.
For this set-up you can use the Camper Tie Down Hardware Package, # TDHP, to secure the camper to the hold downs.
