Plastic trailer wheel center cap plug adds style to your trailer wheels.

Today we're going to take a look at the Chrome Plastic EZ Lube Center Cap Plug for Americana wheels. Now this part is constructed of a chrome ABS plastic, and this cap is installed on wheel center caps that have a 1-7/8" diameter hole in the center of the cap. And it is used on trailers that have EZ Lube axles, and an EZ Lube axle has a grease Zerk fitting on the end of the spindle. That allows you to pump grease into the bearings without having to remove the wheels. And this plug is what'll pop out of that center cap and allow you to access the grease Zerk fitting. Outer diameter on this plug is 2-3/16".
We mentioned it is designed to fit a 1-7/8" diameter hole in the center cap. This is designed to fit Americana center caps with an outer diameter of 3.19" up to 5.15", and it is for quantity of one chrome plug. But that should do it for the review on the Chrome Plastic EZ Lube Center Cap Plug for Americana wheels.
Just needed the center cap to my hub. It's the cover for the EZ Lube system. Came off last season, just got around to buying a new one. Fit perfect, matched the others. 2021 Grand Design Reflection

The parts were a good fit. I thought they took a bit long to get and the shipping costs were as much as the part. I have bought parts from etrailer in the past and find them consistent and a bit less expensive than most. I guess the gouge on shipping is just something we have to tolerate these days.

Honestly I put them on and haven’t thought about them since. So I guess that’s a good thing. Still there doing their job.
Center plug for my trailer hubs was the exact replacement. Sales personal were very helpful in finding the right part. I have always had good results when ordering from etrailer.

Soft plastic on a wheel is never a good idea. The finish doesn't match the metal hub center and the little plastic ears easily break.
Took a chance the cap would fit. Perfect match. Ordering was easy and delivery was on time for standard USPS. I will be ordering several more as spares. See attached pics.

An economic solution for the replacement of damaged or missing caps. Only comment for
Improvement I have is, don’t use USPS for shipping. This is the second package that has been delivered to the wrong address or lost in transit. Only reason I looked for the package is the great tracking system of etrailer.

Fit perfectly and
It took a while to get these since they were on back order, but it was worth the wait. The diameters are the same as the old ones, but the depth of the ID on my metal wheel caps is slightly deeper than these plastic plugs are made for. No problem though. Just a quick deburr of the metal, and a little file touch up on the plastic plugs, and they fit well.

I bought my Trailer new and noticed that the center plug caps were missing. I called the local RV dealer and asked if they had any in stock they said no. So I got on the internet and found E-Trailer, they had what I needed I read the reviews and was satisfied with the 5 star rating.
