Can I Replace The 2-5/16" Ball On My Trailer Valet XL With A 2" Ball?

Question:

I have a trailer valet XL. It came with a 2-5/16 ball. Can i get a 2 inch replacement? The attachment threads are 1.25 fine thread.

Yes, you can!

For your Trailer Valet XL, you will want the Replacement 2" Hitch Ball # TVHB2. This is made specifically for the Trailer Valet XL and will replace the 2-5/16" ball that came with your dolly. The 2" and 2-5/16" balls use the same base, so you do not need to replace the entire base assembly.

Even though you measured the threads at 1-1/4", you will want to use the # TVHB2 rather than a standard 2" hitch ball. Trailer Valet uses custom proprietary threads on this setup, so a standard hitch ball with a similar measurement is not interchangeable.

You can simply remove your current 2-5/16" ball from the base and install the # TVHB2 in its place.

Are you changing over to a different trailer with a 2" coupler?

I purchased the 2 inch replacement ball from Trailer Valet and it fits my Trailer Valet XL just fine.

Hi we also purchased a two inch ball to use with the trailer valet and it works fine. However, we no longer have a trailer so are looking to pass our trailer valet along to someone who needs it. We will likely donate it to the Habitat ReStore in Longmont CO if they will accept it. Best to y'all.
