Question:

Hello - this bulkhead adapter says its a bulkhead adapter but theres no lock nut shown. Is one included? And how long is the longer threaded part? I need to find something like this to go thru a 3/4inch plywood camper wall + thin aluminum skin, with room for the fitting to attach. I actually need it for 1/4inch propane tubing, so would have to adapt this or maybe you know of a 1/4inch one?. Thank you!

Welcome back Bill. The MEC RV Propane Bulkhead Fitting item # MEC84CR does not include a lock nut. I ran down to the warehouse and measured it. The threaded portions are 1-1/8" long and 5/8" long. It's definitely long enough to get through your plywood wall and aluminum skin.

The MEC RV Propane Bulkhead Fitting item # MEC84CR use standard 3/8" 45° flare fittings, which correspond to a 5/8"-18 UNF thread size. Unfortunately, we do not carry a locknut that will work but you'll easily be able to source one that does at a local hardware store.

We do not have a 1/4" Bulkhead Fitting like item # MEC84CR that is long enough to get through the side of your trailer. The Propane Adapter Fitting item # 37207-30225 can be used to connect your 1/4" line though. It has 3/8" Female SAE flare x 1/4" female NPT fittings.
