Video Transcript for Review of JR Products Propane - Hoses - 37207-31255

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products propane hose. This is going to allow you to run your propane from your LP gas cylinder up to your regulator on your RV or travel trailer. Keep in mind there are a few things that you want to look for when you're deciding on a propane hose to make sure that it's going to work with your setup. The first thing is going to be your length, so you want to be sure that it's going to be able to run from point A to point B, wherever that may be for you. This is a two foot long hose, so it's going to connect, obviously if your tank or whatever connection points that you have to your regulator are less than two feet.

This should work for you. This is a rubber hose, so that's going to help resist any kinks or cracking. It's got an internal diameter of a quarter of an inch, which is pretty standard for most of these hoses, so it should be enough to get that propane run through to power up your propane powered appliances. The next thing that you want to look for are your fittings, so obviously we have two different fittings on this hose. We're going to have a 3/8 inch male NPT fitting. This is what's going to connect to your regulator on your RV or travel trailer, and we're also going to have a 3/8 inch female swivel SAE fitting. That swivel sitting is going to make it much easier to get this connected.

We're not going to have to turn the whole hose to get it connected. That fitting will turn without the hose moving, so that's going to be pretty easy to get that mounted. This hose is UL as well as CSA approved, so it's going to hold up to those quality standards, you can trust that it's going to do the job well and hold up well.Keep in mind if this is not the hose that you need, maybe you need a longer hose or different fittings. I would encourage you to come check out our other options here at etrailer.com. Our goal is always to help you find the product that you need to solve your problem so you can get back to enjoying your time outdoors. That's going to complete our look at the JR Products propane hose.

See what our Experts say about this JR Products Propane Fittings

  • Will 3/8 Female SAE Fitting on JR Products Propane Hose Fit 3/8 Male NPT Fitting
The 3/8" female SAE connector on the # 37207-31255 will be compatible. However, SAE and NPT are not interchangeable since they are threaded differently. SAE fittings are straight and use an O-ring for the seal. NPT threads are tapered to create the seal without an O-ring. Since you have a flare fitting it actually wouldn't be NPT but SAE so using it with the female SAE connector won't be an issue.

  • Recommended 3/8" Female Swivel Flare to 1/4" NPT Male Propane Hose
The best option we have for you is the Propane Hose part # 37207-31255 which is a 3/8" hose with 3/8" female swivel flare on one end and a 3/8" male NPT on the other. It measures 24" or 2' long. We don't offer a hose with a 1/4" male NPT on the other side so you'll need to get a 3/8" to 1/4" NPT adapter locally.

  • Shortest Propane Hose That Has A 3/8" Male to 3/8" Female Flare Ends
The shortest hose with a 3/8" male to a 3/8" female flare fitting is the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose - 3/8" Male NPT x 3/8" Female Flare Swivel # 100040-48-MBS. This hose is 4' long (48"), and has a maximum pressure rating of 350 PSI. For a propane pigtail, you can use the BBQ Adapter Hose # 37207-31295 which is 2' long, and has a 3/8" female swivel and a type 1 connection with a regulator that'll connect directly to your propane source.

  • What RV Propane Supply Line Is Used from Regulator to Appliances?
Regulators normally have 1/4 inch not 3/8 inch connections as does the small appliance. If this is what you have the Quick Disconnect Propane Hose - 1/4" Male NPT - 10' # 37207-31135 along with the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Connector - 1/4" FPT # 104052-MBS. If you have 3/8 inch connections, the only option we have for your specific fit is to use multiple hoses. You can use the Propane Hose - 3/8" Female SAE Swivel x 3/8" Male NPT - 2-1/2' # 37207-31405 or the Propane Hose...

  • What Hose and 2-Stage Regulator Do I Need for My Travel Trailer?
The fitting you need is a type 1 like the MB Sturgis Propane Hose w/ Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" MPT - 20" # 100473-20-MBS. As far as the regulator, I recommend the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 160,000 Btu/Hr # CAM59313. If you need the supply hose, that is the # 37207-31255. It is important to note that this supply hose is for the standard 3/8" male fitting on the manifold.

  • Parts Needed To Install Olympic Wave 6 Heater Alongside RV Furnace On 2022 Micro Minnie RV Trailer
To verify if you will be able to run both your propane furnaces on your 2022 Micro Minnie travel trailer you will need to identify the BTU usage for all your propane appliances. Then verify you have enough flow from your regulator to power your appliances you are going to run. Once you know you have enough flow you will need a Tee # MBS97FR along with a Short Hose # MBS34FR to run back to your furnace and a longer hose like the 6' # MBS74FR to run to your Olympic Wave 6 # CAM57341.
