Is There Any Part of the Blue Ox Immobilizer that Can be Used on Larger Hitch Size

Question:
A few years ago I purchased the blue box anti-rattle, part number BX88224 which accommodated my 2 inch shank. I now have a new truck that has a 2 1/2 receiver. I know you sell the same anti-rattle for 2 1/2, part BC88224. But if I buy 2 1/2 square U- bolts, can I use the same steel L bracket that I used for the 2 system. Thank you.

Hey Peter, I wish that were possible but the L-bracket of the Blue Ox Immobilizer II is a different size between the 2 inch version that you have now and the 2.5 inch version part # BX88225. This means you would need to replace the entire kit as no portion of it would work with the larger hitch size. How did you like the Immobilizer on your 2 inch hitch setup?

The 2 inch immobilizer has worked very well over the years. The only upgrade I made to it was purchasing class 5 square U-bolts and grade 5 nuts to ensure they would not strip out on me.
